Finally got around to watching that episode. Fracking awesome. Gods damned awesome.

was nice to see the episode take the same track as good ole season 1 and 2, leaving the whiny crying singing fracking prophecy bitchfest behind.

I dunno if adama and tigh are toast or not. Hard to say. There's a few directions they could go with either. I envision his death being kind of the shock that seats reality in the minds of all the dissenters. Like "holy frack, we killed the old man, it's gone too far" and then they all realize what a psycho whiney bitch Gaeta is and blast him out the airlock along with his boyfriend Zareck.

Could be a major confrontation between the renegade base star and the Galactica too....ending with the galactica's destruction (please please please). More likely ending with half the fleet siding with the prez and using their ships to protect the renegade cylons from the Galactica, effectively nutting Gaeta and forcing him to stand down.

As long as zareck and gaeta get theirs, I'm pretty much happy either way.

Also we can't forget about the wildcard of the non-lobotomized cylon raiders and centurions. They still have some serious ass kicking to do.

A major change in pace, whilst the timeframe is pretty small, I expected to see some fall out from the executions.

I'm actually surprisingly satisfied with the road they're going down to explain the whole thing, although the co-incidental similarities in the toasters new and old is a bit hard to swallow.

Yeah, I don't think they could be alive after what they did. I doubt there was some elaborate plan to not execute them, it just wouldn't make sense.

agree for sure. There were a few moments in the first 10 that were kinda cool, but the newest ones just fucking rock.

No way they're alive. Strange they didn't show it though...I wonder if its a regulatory thing against showing executions on TV. Regulators are funny like that sometimes...like they can show aunders getting his brain blown out but showing 9 guys willfully executing somebody is too much. Dunno


Anyways, I did call it a few posts back with the standoff between the Galactica and the basestar, but it definitely didn't go down quite how I imagined it. I actually thought they offed Adama...shoulda known better. The old man didn't waste any time getting rid of zarek and nancy boy Gaeta either. Agree that it was strange nobody talked about it in the following episode though.

The Galactica showing fatigue fractures everywhere kinda took me off guard....but does give me hope that my one desire in this show will be realized - the epic destruction and horriffic explosion of Galactica sometime soon. I'm not sure exactly where they're going with this cylon goo stuff that's supposed to fix the fatigue cracks. I don't get why it was such a big frackin deal. Maybe just a little plot device to spell out how badly the humans and cylons need each other to survive now that Earth is a wash.

The aunders memory plot was really cool though. Nice to have some of that final 5 shit finally explained...plus despite Ellen's atrocious acting...she and John's (the One's) exchange let you know pretty much the whole deal with the 8 cylon models and the final 5's role in their creation.

I still think they're going to work Starbuck into being the missing number Seven somehow. They said Daniel's genetic code was corrupted by the Ones, but maybe it got turned into starbuck somehow. Dunno. I can't think of anything else (within the confines of what we know from the series) that would have resurrected her.

maybe caveil altered her line somewhat, al is turning into the big bad which is amusing, does that make ellen ziggy though, or boomer?

overall i have been very impressed these last few episodes, made up a lot fromt he disaster i thought it was becoming. personally i think baltar is seven, when sam is talking about his vision he says he saw a woman, while your other woman saw a man, and it made me think, baltar sees six, and six sees baltar, so its like on some level all the cylons have an imaginary friend, or perhaps its just the originals of a line.
