Oh I dont know how I missed it, but I never realized that Nightchill was the Sister of Cold Nights (although the name Nightchill makes so much more sense now) that cursed Kallor at the beginning of MOI

Ive had plenty of moments of revelation upon re-reading the series, but my worst one was realizing the old fella who was talking to Paran at the end MoI,
was the trader who met the BB at the start...

In the scene where Kalyth is on a vision quest and meets Heboric, he basically tells her that she's looking for Gesler and Stormy. It's so obvious on reread: "The key is in the tempering." Uh duh.

When Gesler tells Stormy that the Nahruk "ate the Bonehunters" I was horrified... thinking literally.
On the re-read I think he means that the Nahruk mauled the Bonehunters. Well... a few more pages until I start The Crippled God and then all mysteries shall be solved.

Well, they ate some. The dead ones.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

I think the Nah'ruk were tired of arm-pit fungus and wanted some Bonehunter for dins; all jokes aside, I was horrified too.

At least they cooked them. Raw human is gross!
They came with white hands and left with red hands.
