In "A dance with dragons"- mummery, mummer's farce, mummer's face or anything like that. Made me puke after a few chapters

I can picture that, puking like a mummer all over the place.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

I'm so tired of everyone "growling." Surely there are other synonyms! And they "sigh" a lot too. Ugh!

anyone who's finished Blood and Bone will sympathize:
"Very good"
GODDAMMIT NOTHING THAT IS HAPPENING IS VERY GOOD!

There's a fine line between genius and insanity. I have erased this line.

Except for First Scribe Thorn's comments to Golan
It is perfectly monstrous the way people go about nowadays saying things against one, behind one's back, that are absolutely and entirely true.

I'm only to Memories of Ice, but so far there's been ALOT of 'hissing through (one's) teeth'. I mean, these people are serious. habitual hissers--- the more hardened, the more they hiss. Like snakes? Like cats? It's a strange thing.

Freaking.
If you're reading Cold Days, you'll know what I mean.
It's not bad on its own, but several times on a page is a bit freaking much.

So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

Grizzled. Too many damned grizzled veterans in this series.
"Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away."

I swear, if one more person had 'resisted the urge to salute' at the beginning of blood and bone...
There was something that took over from that but I forget what. Skinner's mail coat got pretty annoying in that too.

The love I bear thee can afford no better term than this: thou art a villain.

actinic - Seen SE use it a time or 3 but ICE is constantly dropping this stupid word.
roynish - Okay, I never saw this word used in any MBotF, but Donaldson used it ad nauseam in the Thomas Covenant books (usually in referring to Ur Viles) and I never found out what it actually means. Perhaps someone here could enlighten me about the meaning of the word 'roynish'.

I definitely grew tired of the constant use of "must needs..." But otherwise I enjoyed his incredible depth of vocabulary.

All of George Martin's writing hurts my eyes.
The 'Whole Magic Rap battle'-that oh so annoying effing Snake deal taking up way too many pages in the MBoF. Kill me now pls.
Also, in general-the verbose nature of the Tiste Trilogy is a bit much, even for me-you talk too much!!!
As Kruppe from Darujistan says, it has a ROynish quality to it-the Tiste Trilogy. Lmao
