So, any word of a new DLC? I do have the prince guy, and the emporium... wouldn't mind some additional stuff.
I wonder if there will be an expansion of Awakening's proportions.

Just finished it. Must say I'm quite disappointed by the game. I stopped playing in the last chapter, because I grew tired of the same locations over and over again. Glad I didn't spend money on it.

Well, yes, they were. And frankly I liked DA2 enough to warrant the obnoxious price I paid for it. All in all it's a very decent game, if you overlook the repetitive locations (which shouldn't be surprising at all, btw). The gameplay is smooth and fun, the environments detailed, the story at least decent. It's not as good as ME2, or even Origins, but hey - not everyone can be perfect! :)

I've got to the final battle with the Qunari boss, and I can't freaking beat him! Feels like I just haven't grinded enough. Doesn't help that any time I found new armour or weapons, I couldn't freaking use them! Made me blow up in frustration more than once. As a result, the game felt much less enjoyable.
It is perfectly monstrous the way people go about nowadays saying things against one, behind one's back, that are absolutely and entirely true.

You don't have to accept the duel. In any case, dueling him is the hardest fight in the entire game. Got to play really cheesy to beat him solo.

With lots of running in circles around him. You also have to learn how he signals his attacks and dodge them (the whirlwind one and the head down charge are horrific).

It's not that hard to beat him solo. Just slash at him when you can and run away while you build up stamina :Oops:

My main character is a mage with low armour. My best tactic so far has been freeze and slash, gravity draw to slow, and then desperately heal and run while my mana builds back up. I don't have an option to not duel, as I want to keep whatshername, the rogue.
It is perfectly monstrous the way people go about nowadays saying things against one, behind one's back, that are absolutely and entirely true.

You can engage with your whole party. Never tried it, but apparently it can be party vs arishok + his qunari.

I've tried both. With party I got further to defeating him than I ever have alone -- but that was my first attempt, and I've been unable to recreate that level of success with the support of the party since then.
Ho hum, I'll try again when I work up the requisite level of give-a-shit.

Tend to be an easier fight solo actually in my experience. However as a mage (have done it with two different mages) if I remember right Petrify, freezes and other controls is the easy way to do it in a duel. Then simply run around for 20ish min before he goes down throwing spells at him when he is stunned, slowed or stuck to a wall.

I found the Arishok story line to be the only interesting one in the game. Sure there were some individual moments that were well done, but in regards to complexity and depth the Arishok thing was the only one.

Yeah I think The bit with the tunnels was more of a side story than little elf womans trip down abomination lane.

I hated Anders. It pissed me off when I found out leaving my sister behind meant he was my only mage healer in the party.
If I'd known to keep the sister with me on the trip to the deep roads come the time I'd have MURDERED ANDERS! twice
if possible.

I got the feeling They messed up with no qunari joining the party. I was HOPING to god the second I beat the arishok him or one
of his underlings would join the group.

I used a rogue and I found the Solo fight with the arishok much easier than the high dragon. being a rogue made hiding and healing
really simple and getting him to charge at the door gets him stuck in my copy of the game. This has happened on each new
attempt.
