I'm re-reading the books (all 9) and am trying to be very disciplined in paying attention to detail. So far am 1/2 way thru MOI where the warrens are poisoned. How do they get unpoisoned and in which book?

Not sure how they get "un-poisoned" . . . but at the end of moi, the infection of Burn is slowed by Omtose Phellack (Jaghut warren - - - cold to soothe the fever of Burn). The warrens are the circulatory system of K'rull.

Currently, I am reading House of Chains... so far there is no mention of the the poisoned warrens (I just finished the first 1/4 of the book - - - Kara Orlong's story prior Dryjhna).

There does seem to be some confusion about this issue as the CG has two avenues of poisoning in MoI:

1) His poison seeping into Burn's flesh

2) Chanelling chaotic magic through Pannion and poisoning the Warrens that way.

The poison in Burn is slowed by Omtose Phellack while the chaotic poisoning diminishes with the collapse of the Domin.

The rest of the series contains sporadic references to the warrens being posioned but it is not clear if this is through Burn or perhaps the various agents of the CG (like the Edur Warlocks) using chaotic magic.

It could also be that because Burn's flesh is itself a warren the poison flows from there...

Spoiler

maybe they have reached apoint where they are poisened but manageable? the crippled god's aim is to destroy magic through warrens so maybe they are just slowed down but still bad and that if the crippled god is not killed or unchained then the warrens will die?

Yeah, the extreme poisoning of the warrens disappears after the Pannion ceases to be a conduit for chaotic magic. If i remember correctly, it was largely within the Domin itself that the warrens are completely inaccessible - due to Pannion.

And you'd be correct. The Warrens being poisoned is much, much more prominent in the Domin because of Pannion and his extreme use of Chaos (the vultures, etc.). After having reshuffled Pannion into the inner-realms of Burn, to help delay the poisoning, it isn't as big a deal.

It does, however, remain a major problem as Brood's Hammer is still meant to reset the game if it comes down to CG vs. Burn.

Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

I think the new warrens created by icarium will play a huge factor in TCG. I imagine kruls warrens will be vulnerable or destroyed if the otataral dragon is free or killed by kilamandaros. Which I think was alluded to in DOD. Is so are sinn and grub going to be the only wielders of icariums warrens? Which used what to be created? What will their aspects be? I wonder also if icarium used memmories to shape his warrens. Something similar to what silverfox wanted to do for mhybe and was ultimately done by hood and krul. But worst of all the gate to the cg realm will be opened. This lst novel is going to be filled with suprises. And even more threads unended. Like karsa and the army of crippled teblor children. Will he claim that army? Will he go back to jhag odhan, to aramala and gather a army of half jhag half toblakai army? Is se writting a triology to cover karsa? Sorry for being of toic. I will do better next time. Listen...... I'm just fasinated with what can happen in this last book and I hope he doesn't f it up. I don't want to have to read forum speculations to put together se's loose ends.

I may be wrong, but didn't it say somewhere (perhaps in HoC) that Hood hit back hard against CG assault on the warrens? I agree with everything you guys have said but I could swear there was mention, maybe by QB, that Hood retalliated against CG for striking his warren and reversed some of the damage. Comments?

Hood was using the barghastspirits and QB to fight against the crippled god. He was also working w krul and the spirits to fashion a plasce for the tlan imass and tlan ay. The warrens were beging attacked by the CG through the panion domin. Who use omtose phelak to cool the fever of burn.after being stopped by Qb and paran

I dont have the quote but I think when Quick Ben said that to Paran he was being a little cagey...not wanting to mention the Barghast involvement that Calm Bringer of Peace mentioned :p At that point Paran didn't know about Talamandas yet.
