Yeah, Poulsen from everything I've seen and read of him is a Stephen Hunt-level dickhead. One of the really nasty ones you don't want in the game at all.
I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you.

Considering Hodgson had him playing for a couple of years under him, I think he knows what he's getting into by signing him.

Well it's official, Man City get Balotelli and Chelsea get Ramires...
Seen a fair bit of Balotelli and his potential is huge, shame he seems to be a dick! As for Ramires, not seen much at all!

Balotelli does seem to be pretty childish. Then again with all the racist shit he was getting, who knows. He's got quality though.

I figure the racist stuff - at least from the Inter fans - comes from him being an arse. Fights with several team mates, flirting with AC Milan (!), saying how much he hates the Inter fans (admittedly after the racist slur), and non-stop bickering with the manager. He's a dick, and I think (and hope) he'll do more harm than good at Man City.

50 minutes 'til the new season! Thank fuck, it's been far too long. Annoying first game though, two of my least favourite sides battling it out to ensure that (unless there are large numbers of season ending injuries) I'll be annoyed at the result whatever happens. Probably have to lean towards wanting Citeh to win today, as my overwhelming hatred of sp*rs is just too much to manage.
I'm seriously pissed off at Arsenal's transfer activity. Ended the season obviously needing at least one more CB and a new GK.
Instead, we've lost 3 CBs and brought in only one inexperienced replacement, who quite frankly doesn't look up to the job, and not so much as a trace of a keeper. Instead it looks like Fabianksi will be number 1 for the season, which is absolutely terrifying. The man has arsed up in every pre-season friendly game, and that's ignoring the fact he did exactly the same every time he played last season.
Other than that, we picked up a new striker who looks ok - but we've lost two as well, so still down even there.
It's going to be a long season, and if Arsenal manage to scrape 4th place I will genuinely be amazed. I see us finishing 6th this year.

Loving the new season so far, it's a cracking first half hour so far. Would be happier with a goal, mind you.

Blimey, how pessimistic are you? You'll challenge for the title.
Or rather, you'll challenge for second spot as Blackpool walk away with the title.

Good first day aside from Chavski winning 6-0. Great to see MOTD back on TV again, it's been too long!! Blackpool to win I think.
EDIT: Also, who is Bebe?? Anyone heard of him/seen him play?

I've only seen him on youtube and from the clips he doesnt look anything special...
But he's only 20 and seems to be very raw, considering his back ground, looks like he has the make up to be a good player, almost a faster version of drogba but obv nowhere near as good... yet! as one headline put it, fergie will be taking "bebe" steps with him!

He seems to have similar attributes to Agbonlahor, although he supposedly plays as a winger more which would make him a bit Ronaldo-esque.
It's difficult to say how good he is really, even by the usual standards of youtube judging, because a year ago he was a homeless amateur. For all we know he's coming on in leaps and bounds and in a years time will be world class.
I find it astonishing though that Fergie spent 7.5mil on someone that played in the Portugese third division last year on Quieroz's word. We've taken a lot of gambles on young players recently (Manucho, Ljajic, Tosic, Diouf, Chicharito, Obertan De Laet and Smalling all cost us more money than you'd expect for their level of experience) but this is by far the biggest one.

Yeah, it was ball to hand and N'Gog did exactly the same thing but with more intent with no card.

I was referencing Cole's sending off.
it was at best a yellow for a careless challenge, it was obviously an attempted block.
The sending off, it wasn't a yellow for the second, no doubt about it.
a shitty result considering how Arse did not capitalise on the good 5 minutes that we were down to 9 men.
also, for a man who was stretchered off, he looked awful fucking spritely after the break, I can't help but fell he realised cole was gone so he better stay down.
I'll take the point, Liverpool were shit in the first half, and as much as I dislike seeing N'Gog turn out, the finish was top notch

Apparently he had a huge lump on his leg when he came out. Fifteen minutes is enough time to recover from that kind of thing to an extent, you could clearly see his leg twist in the replays though.
It was a little harsh on Cole, but I don't think he can complain, it was a dangerous challenge, albeit without intent. He lost control of his movement, and that's always risking a red.

no, a dangerous challenge is where you slide in feet first to get the ball, regardless of the plater, cole slid in to make a block and didnt get stopped and clattered through the man. which is careless.
The bastard could have got up and walked off the pitch no bother

Well, a two-footed lunge should always be a red card. That doesn't mean other tackles aren't dangerous... He came in with two feet initially, and although he checked it and slid feet down in the end, he was already out of control and caught the defender in a dangerous scissor. You can see his leg twist.
The red card was out straight away, don't know what you're on about there. Koscielny had nothing to gain from staying down, Arsenal being down to ten men for the last few seconds.

he had everything to gain from staying on his back.
not looking like a dick is one
had he bounced up like a jack in the box he would have been abused by the fans completely.
he didn't lunge in, take another look at the side angle, he slide in with a leg up for a block, it was never an attempted tackle, its an attempted saving block.
also, a lump suggests a knock, a twist is an entirely different kind of pain, and would result in a swelling, which would not dissapear in half time, ther was fuck all wrong with him

Redknapp gave as a reason that both feet left the ground. Cole's right foot was glued to the grass throughout the entire challenge. Was it a hard tackle? Yes. Was it careless? Yes. Was it yellow? Deeply so, nearly orange, but it wasn't red.
Oh well. 'Pool got a point out of that, and you won't hear me complain. Twas more than I expected from the start, especially when I saw they started Ngog (and Arsenal failed to produce Fabianski
), and far more than I expected from half time onwards, or from the moment onwards where Agger was knocked out twice in rapid succession.
