Dassem, Cowl, Kallor, Skinner. I did these sketches a while back
and while working on a few digital things thought I'd post
the RAWS here.

Hope the ideas are on the right track:

I think Cowl looks amazing. Skinner looks great, too. Kallor also looks awesome, but doesn't quite look like Kallor to me. Dassem's good, too, but I like the other three better.

Dassem and Cowl = win! Kallor and Skinner are both good as well, but just don't seem to click with me quite as much as the first 2. Fantastic work, though!!

they all look great! only thing is that kallor doesn't wear plate, he wears that long chain mail coat that reaches his knees, and swings a bastard sword

thanks for the above responses everybody :(.

I really didn't feel great about kallor myself. His a wiley character that
I can never sketch properly facially. He always looks like my mental image of
san tzu =/ I have no idea why. You guys are spot on here, I'll have to rework
him.

Dassem I always try to draw as quite ethnic. I tried to give him a lil bit more
mix about his features since, I think, him being half talian makes him somewhat afro/asian
or afro/european looking at the very least? it might show better after shading.

Cowl was a surprise favourite of the set. I drew him without a single edit and
that for me is VERY rare.

Skinner ofcourse is skinner. his a continuation of the skinner sketch series

The characters look awesome, but Kallor's and Skinner's swords are too fantasy-ish for my tastes.

Yeah, all the swords seem a bit melo-dramatic.

Kallors sword for example I imagine is just an unadorned, old looking long sword. Practical, meant for killing in droves, not for show.

I thought it looked something like this, but old, maybe a bit broader, stained with old blood and notched in many places.

I imagine Kallor's sword to be more viking style, means broad and relatively blunt at the tip. Not that pointy.

I like the picture of cowl best, matching most the way I imagine him.

Cowl > Dassem > Skinner > Kallor, I think, in terms of accuracy. Definitely think that the last two swords could have been less fantasy - I think they're also artificially stunted in proportion to the height of the people wielding them as you've drawn it.

But great sketches! These are freaking awesome! :(

I agree on the swords- long! Armoured guys like Skinner and Kallor would have wielded Greatswords - very long with a 40 inch blade.

I do like your style, Dolmen!

My favourite is Dassem,I think. Kallor would look better sitting on a throne, all arrogant and such:)

I felt I should make a mention on SKinner. I'll leave out the sword since everyone's already pointed that out but Skinner's been described as a walking suit of armour by RotCG so I don't think he would have the lose leggings. Maybe I'm forgetting a quote that was directed at his legs but I'm pretty sure he was plate armour from head to toe. On that note he did have a full helm that hid all expression including eyes. Great job with the pictures though, I thought you got Dassem's body type spot on and Cowl certainly had a veil of mystery. Ha, did you get it? I know, I'm aweful.
The world needs hypocrites...unfortunate but true.
