Also what possessed you both to organize a wedding during a move (or vice versa?)

Aug 6 was the only day the reception hall she wanted was open and school starts the 24.

This is my last week as a free man. eek!

Enjoy it, SB :( To be honest, it might be quite fun to move into a new house as newly weds, new stage of life, new surroundings.

The weather is awesome. I'd like something strong yet fresh to accompany it.

As it happens SB, I am also tying the knot on Aug 6, Just after sunrise on the beach and then breakfast and mimosas.

Barkeep... A round for the grooms... Better make it strong!

Thats awesome man. Nothing would do for our wedding but the traditional church with everyone we've ever met that drains most of my savings thing.

Our is just at sundown, then dinner, then Shiner Bock!

@ Stormy:
Here, 4 Dies Irae. Should keep you going.
I don't find shrinks so bad, at least not when I went to see one.

@ The Grooms:

The Wedding Charge

1 Stout

1 Rum (dark) and Coke
1 Shot of Tequila

You drop the shot into the rum and Coke and down it.
Then you chase that down with the Stout.

Last big wedding I went to basically killed it for me.
I don't want a big wedding, church or no. If I even get married I'd opt for a nice quiet civil ceremony and a reception with friends and family, but not everyone we know.

You know, I'm watching Gladiator and something has occurred to me. With all the talk of Maximus being as a son to Aurelius (brother to Commodus) and all the talk of incest I can't help but realize that there are some seriously weird undertones between Maximus and Lucilla as well.
This lead me to another thought. If Maximus had married Lucilla instead of his wife, then Aurelius would indeed be his Father-in-law (that or be adopted as was also tradition).
That in turn got me to thinking about the very idea of a parent-in-law and the implications of the term. Do not some parents-in-law insist on being called "dad" or "mom"? Do they not sometimes call the new comer their new kid?
Does this not imply that your spouse is then also your sibling-in-law by extension?
What does this imply of human society and culture? What deep seated dark things hide in our very language, manifestations of Mississippi-esque behaviour?
The mind reels!

Edit:
I just realized MuttonChops' avatar is that of Maximus... Suddenly this post seems awkward...
