Depends you can disagree, but you need to hold your ground because yes the forum as a hive tendency. Usually if you hold out and you've got valid arguments people calm down, you may get a few people who won't like you but they won't make much of a fuss anymore.

And no your post doesn't violate any of the rules. TT was just looking for clarification on your position.

The forum can take some time getting used to.
The Golden Rule is not to take anyone too seriously and to take things in stride.
The DB is the only real exception since it's a Flame Pit. I just don't post there anymore since I consider it pointless. Luckily the flames mostly stay in there so I consider it a quarantine zone.

Also I need to stay awake.

I like the DB though. It's fun. Watching Gem debate herself into an illogical, semantic pit while everyone else is tearing their hair out in frustration is always hilarious. There hasn't been a good flaming topic in a while, not since that WW2 one where everybody went national on everybody's asses (me included :w00t:).

Oh, and Australia Day was a bit of a bummer. Got smashed by the Poms at cricket, friends got a hold of some weed around 3 and smoked themselves into oblivion by around 7 (which is kinda weak actually lol), and were in no condition to go out. So it was just me and a mate downing beers watching the cricket and listening to the Hottest 100. Then he had to go to work, so I was on my own from about 9. Melbourne is a terrible place to be on holidays too, so I went home at about 10, since no one else I knew was picking up their phone.

I... I don't even remember the last DB thread I got angry at. Blimey.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Angry normal or Illy angry at?

@MTS:
The problem is that the arguments were always the same. Almost every thread in the DB could be condensed into the Following:

1- Politics / Cultural / Law: Spectrum debate (right vs left vs centre)
2- Religion: Atheists vs Theists (Every thread in the Religion subforum could have been merged into one without losing a step)
3- Other: Exceedingly rare (CF's starting a business thread is a good example)

It's like watching bad reruns you've seen 1000 times. You know where it's going, nowhere.
Some people find it stimulating, hence why Nicodimas is missed by those who argue with him.
Me, I just got tired.

Legitimately, fistclenchingly angry. Like how I used to react to Gem's idiocies before rage turned to pity, when I realised it was a case of could not comprehend adapting her views or learning something new rather than would not. Or Astra's bullshit about Muslims from several years back. I seem to have forgotten most of the rest of the larger shouting matches with dickholes heated discussions, which is sort of good, I suppose.

Ah. Well probably is for the best if you don't remember and don't get mad anymore. At the very least your heart is probably happy.
I just got depressed watching things go in circles.

Otherwise I like your signature, didn't notice until now.

It's a recent change, and it's going to stay for as long as I don't think of something better. So a while.

I'd like to raise a glass in fond memory of my copy of NoK. Its owner returned home today to find it lying on the floor, slashed and mangled by the claws and teeth of Tufty the bunny...

Kiska pisses off all wildlife.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

I'll be honest, I was expecting thrown tomatoes and people booing me out of the Pub, but I'll take it. :w00t:

Please, no one here's a Ferrule animal or anything. When it comes to a good pun, they're less likely to mock her than to Topper. It's like a old charter or a Claws to a law or something.
