Can't remember the last time I had whiskey... Stocktake was taking longer than expected, so when I was asked to stay for a full day I pointed out that with uni I haven't had day off since last tues. I said I'd stay if they needed me, but they didn't. Yay!

We are expected to provide high quality service while we are under staffed and over worked. So I am getting flock (not from my boss, but from others) for not doing some non-essential but good service stuff, when I have been prioritising my main work of progressing people HR paperwork that GETS THEM PAID. Stupid upper management and their backwards attitudes

We are slowly making some inroads. We have made sure management are well aware of our situation, and we also make sure our clients (staff in my case) know what our current turn around times are so they don't have unrealistic expectations (well they do, but they at least can't say we didn't tell them ) and just getting on with our work really.
