I'm having a blast. Taking it easy today, need some days off from sight seeing every now and then. has been really cool seeing a different part of the world and all. Makes me want to travel MORE! I just need the bank balance to accommodate this

Evening all.

I'd just like to stop by and leave a drink for TB.

Winter officially started in Winnipeg, and I can only imagine what a hell it must have been for her to get to work today....

Hell indeed! The drive home wasn't much fun either as it continued to snow all day. Thanks for the drink Ment, I needed it!

TB! Welcome back, the Trickster has not been the same in your absence. How are you doing? Still insanely busy?

it's decent.
I like the fact that it's dry cold.
it also makes for a great ice breaker when I call alumni asking them for money @ my job, lol

and it's not that bad, seeing as i'm mostly on campus and don't have to be outside much, and when we go out, there's usually always cabs. and seeing as I don't have to pay them all theat often (it just happens like that), it hasn't hit my wallet that seriously yet.

Hey TB, hope everything is going well. Hope you don't have to pull 16 hour days too often.
Winter has started here as well, stopped raining and started snowing.
I'm happy because rain is horrible horrible stuff.

Also, just finished decontaminating my socks of cat hair. My friend really needs to do something about that carpet of his.

Hehe

been snowing here fairly regularly. The temperature's balancing b/w minus 5 and minus twenty, though, so, unless it's windy, its entirely tolerable.

I seriously need to do something about my personality. I become "the friend" far too easily. If I was less capable of analyzing my position, I'd probably feel I was in a real relationship.

thank Christ i'm too busy to seriously dwell on this.

Hello the pub! I haven't been in for a while. I have been hard At work servicing the troubled teenage girls. I'm currently in the middle of a 16 hour shift which isn't as bad as you might imagine. So glad to not be subbing anymore. It is 4 in the morning though and 12 hours until I go home, so someone needs to toss me a redbull.

Good to see you back.

So where are you working these days if you're doing 16 hour shifts. I thought you were a teacher?

I was a substitute teacher for years, unable to find a full time position. I finally had enough and am now a residential counselor at a group home for at-risk troubled teenage girls.

wow. bit of a change there RLY. congrats. it is nice to go from part-time or short term contract work to something more permanent.

when you say residential counselor, what do you mean? Are you still teaching, cos when i hear counselor i think "head shrink"?

ugh

Suffice it to say, this morning was brutal.

Yet another reason I love my job. I went in a total wreck, feeling weaker than a newborn kitten (side effect of activated carbon--that stuff works miracles for hangovers, but it drains you beyond belief). yet, now, i'm energetic and happy, and after 3 hours of largely unsuccessful arguments with people over the phone, I feel back to normal.

So I'm going to lose Nanowrimo, but that was clear a few days ago. Guess I'll have to win next year.
At least I'll be able to start reading again for December. I think I'll spend my day off downloading as much public domain stuff as I can get my hands on then make a database of all my books.
You know just to nerd out.
That and clean my apartment a bit.
