Probably just name it Nightchill if it's a girl - at least then the name sounds cool. What I really need is a synopsis so I can skip Reaper's Gale and move on....I'm trying to tandem shark-jump but I just can't get it right.

First of all, Reapers Gale was awesome.

Here you go Flash, on the house:

"Darkwatch's Flaming Fist"

-3 parts 94% Alcohol
-2 parts Gin
-1/2 ounce of vodka
-1 part red grappa
-1 part flaming sambuca

I hope you have insurance that covers the loses at the very least. I also hope they catch the person who stole your car.
Or I can take a personal suppression contract.

I flew home today for the long weekend, since it's my birthday and my loving family insisted I be here.

And then I find out that none of my friends are gonna be here, because they decided to go to Montreal for the long weekend..

still, that's nowhere as bad as you, flash...

I'm flying back tomorrow morning, to make it for my 11 AM class

I don't think i've gained that much. mind you i've gained about 2-3 kilos in uni in a month, but, judging from the fact that I needed to up the shirt sizes to XL when I was shopping yesterday, I dare say it was the muscle weight in my shoulders rather than fat.

today is all about getting ready for tomorrow. had to write a cover letter (done) for a volunteer position i'm applying for, and right now i'm about to start writing an outline for a phone interview I have for a call centre job tomorrow.

Brave man, leaving by plane in the morning to make it for a morning class. I wouldn't.
Might be a domestic flight I still find airports a hassle.

What kind of call centre are you applying to?

uni call centre. the kind that calls alumni and asks them to donate money, lol

basically, doing on the phone, for an hourly wage, what I have been doing for the last 8 months in person, and on 100% commission.

so, a piece of cake in comparison.
plus, it will provide for a little spending money on those weekends...

RE: the plane. I usually just sleep on the plane, so that's no issue. and airports aren't that much of a hassle--im used to dealing with people. I mange to even make those customs people laugh, over half of the time.

update on my situation
I have sucessfully landed in Winnipeg. the plane was only 30 minutes late. I even made it to class on time.

I totally forgot that we had a tutorial after that class. As a result, I had to sneak out at eh end, and instead of doing my phone interview in the comfort of my room, I did it outside, exposed tot he cruel elements.

Apparently, it went well. I have a personal interview tomorrow....

one of those work dinners, TT?

I was roused from an awesome nap by a nagging sense of responsibilty--I have two more classes that requires completion of readings. Fuck you, responsibility! Why must you manifest yourself now?

I'm seriously starting to think i might be spreading myself too thin.
2
indoor soccer teams, a part-time job, a place on my rez' student council, and up to two potential volunteering positions related to my faculty. all of this on top of classes and homework.
sigh.

Note to self: do not sign up for anything else that soounds even remotely like more responsibilities.

also, make sure to release tension buildups through copious amount of alcohol every weekend.

Would this be a bad time to ask you to be the Student Body President?
I mean being such a responsible guy and all makes you an ideal candidate.

I believe that's generally a full-time job in uni, that leaves no time for school.
At least that was the practice @ Queens.

also, hell no, lol

the stuff i'm doing now was everything I chose to do (well, the Student council thing is debatable--i was in our rez general office and the lady in charge just asked "hey, think you can be our treasurer?" and I kind of did not say no)

I think it's also important to note that this is the first time in my life i'm being this active with things. I fear it's a consequence of growing up.
I'm also developing an a reputation as an overachiever in school, which starkly contradicts my self-image as a lazy person.

suffice it to say, it's a pretty weird situation all around. '
next thing you know, i'l find myself in an actual relationship.

Usually the presidents here only had one course during their term.
It's amazing what we get involved in when we don't say no. Found myself being the Vice-President of external affairs, 3rd year representative and temporarily Vice-President of internal affairs in my bachelor's Student Association just because I said "Meh." Which meant yes apparently.
I damn near declared myself dictator having accumulated all powers in my person.

As for the relationship, you've been alluding to barmaids recently so it's not so far fetched, hopefully it will be a good mature one (in the sense of anti-drama).

meh, barmaids are just an exercise of the people skills i've developed while talking people into becoming charity donors. it's same basic principle, really, ;)

one of those things that also comes natural now--small talk. it's amazing how service can improve if you show the least interest in the person who's providing it.

and drama-free... are such things actually possible? I thought that only happened in myhts, lol

RE: positions: i didn't really object. I asked "what would I have to do?" I was told, "not a lot", so I agreed it with a casual "sure, I guess"...
in theory, this shouldn't be a huge hassle, because we don't have a lot of money for me to fret about.

Oh, you also get to work during your first year. Nevermind, then. Obviously quite different schooling styles.
