Three pints of Friday Inspiration a bit on the late side but still appreciated I hope.

I'm perpetually amazed at how many people do not know how to operate a photocopier.
It's amazing, and horribly depressing.

Yeah, its not that hard. You just open the lid, pull your pants down, sit on the glass and press the green button.

Whats so hard about that?

many thanks, DW.

my elation on saturday was caused by my wondrous day at work (see the "ol' spot" thread for details).

I wanted to share my joy, but, alas, no one was around.

No problem.
Saturday saw me shivering in my bed suffering from an acute case of Sinusitis.
I do not want to relive that. Thank god I live in a time when antibiotics are available.

At the moment I am exceedingly happy because I have managed to fix my previously broken ipod. This may not seem like much, but if there is one piece of technology I can't live without it is my ipod - I just love music too much. Apparently all I need to fix a broken ipod is a screwdriver, a lack of sleep, and no understanding whatsoever of what the physical contents of an ipod actually do... :)

That would only happen if it's a full spectrum photocopier in which case we'd be getting and interesting inside look at SB's digestive track as gamma radiation sterilizes him.

Oh, I'm absolutely caned.

In a hilarious set of events, my phone died (despite being fully charged) at 11am, then I had a long day at work which I had to actually flee to avoid being bollocked (I await tomorrow with joy), then went drinking with some coppers znd got drunk enough that I have no recollection of getting on a train. However, I know Ileft by 9pm latest, and so mustve ridden the train line 4 times minimum bwfore waking up and realising I was miles from home. Just got in, and I do not look forward to tomorrow morning.

Well TT you may have escaped being bollocked at work, but you're on the verge of being blasted by your fantasy football pals who've been waiting twenty one hours for you to make a pick. :) Head over to the thread please.

I told you, I did it already!

I would also like to point out that I did make it very clear that I wouldn't be able to pick until after work every day, and for my purposes, post work drinks should be factored in to that time scale. Similar thing tomorrow is possible I'm afraid

then send possible picks to someone else so they can post for you, instead of leaving us all waiting here waiting for your damn pick. hope you read the last few messages as to how long we are waiting for a person to pick now.

Just give your picks to someone, please. No one wants to wait 20 hours. If you're going to fuck around and be a prick about it, I'd rather you just drop out.

Calm down please my post was a cross post. As I've been up since four am and waiting for your pick so that I could post everyone else's and then go to bed I'm feeling arther uncharitable atm. Perhaps you should factor in some consideration for the other eleven people who are a part of the league. A similar thing will most certainly not be possible tomorrow, as the rules have been ammended to avoid having this assfuckery occur again.

As I fucking said, my phone died despite being fully charged. I expected to be home 3 hours ago at least, but passed put on a train. It was an unfortunate scenario, and had my phone not broken, I would've picked through Brood around 8 hours ago. I couldnt plan for this, but I'd like to point out that I specified well in advance that I wouldnt be around to pick until 6pm BST earliest (so 5 hours late on that, whoopdy doo), I stayed up til 2am yesterday hoping my pick would come around again so clearly want to be involved, I fucking suggested the thing in the first fucking place as another piece of evidence, I've been in meetings all bloody day (painful) discussing a possibly defunct strategy which I could never have responded to anything during anyway, the unexpected leaving of one of my closest colleagues which left me with shit loads of immedaite work to catch up on, I'm caned, and do any of you fucking remember last year. I organised the whole bastard thing, and we waited up to 48 hours for some picks. The season isnt for ages, we wouldnt be doing anything yet anyway without me having said something, you waited well under 24 hours even given ridiculously flukish and unfortunate circumstances, and I would've hoped you'd be slightly more forgiving in the circumstances.

EDIT: Well, it seems I was even more massively dickish than memory suggests. Embarrasment flows....

Oh I might have been more considerate had you not kept us waiting over twelve hours yesterday and had it not been mentioned several times that people who were unable to make their picks should PM their prefered picks so we could keep things moving. As for last year, I certainly remember, and I'm well aware we waited 48 hours and the draft took us six weeks, a complete and utter disaster, something we are trying to avoid this time around. You're not the only one with a demanding job. Shit happens I get that, but your piss poor attitude as well as your informing us the same thing was likely to happen tomorrow, making everyone wait again, leaves much to be desired and also means you're not getting any sympathy from me or likely anyone else who's been waiting for you.

glad to see you think your the only one with a lot of stuff going on in your life, yet other people are able to come on and check the picks inbetween the multitude of events going on in their lifes. Other people are making every effort to make their picks in a timely manner so they dont waste other peoples time. Maybe we wouldnt all come down on you if you had atleast apologized once, but you didnt even do that. and well under 24 hours? learn to add, last pick was at 9:15 you, didnt make yours till 6:15, thats umm what? 21 hours? not well under if you ask anyone else in the league.

and yes i remember last year, thats why someone else is doing it this year. And go backa dn read the thread, it was brood who suggested making another thread to start the draft, saying he was ready to make his first pick.
