Anyone else here play The Longing? From steam. Really enjoy it and think it is a Quarantine perfect game.

No, the idea of playing a game that takes over a year in real time is too much for me.

It actually doesn't. You can play the game in ways that will end it in 3 months or so. And it always counts down in the background. It is more of a zen game than anything, something you do while relaxing and doing something else.

My Zen game is Tetris for Windows. Usually played while I' watching some game-related videos on YouTube.
If I'm actually playing a game, I've got a backlog way too large to spend time on a chill-out game.

Rumor that Spider-Man is going to be one of the June free games for PlayStation. If that happens I'm going to lose my shit.
I see Call of Duty WWII is free. I think the last CoD game I played was BLOPSII. I think I'll grab this, I sort of remember reading some good impressions about this particular title, plus I like the WWII setting. Any you CoD sycophants play it? Any good?

I really liked WWII. The Campaign is excellent. The multiplayer I can't say much about. I mostly just played Shipment for a hundred hours.

When you thought E3 replacements weren't confusing enough:

That's IGN's Summer of Gaming... thing schedule for June.
Few interesting bits in there. Sega's showing off a lot, especially for Humankind.

I looked at it earlier and none of the named stuff caught my interest.

Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood is my pick of the bunch. Cinematic trailer only, but I'm hoping that'd the start of its marketing, since the game's supposed to come out this year. It's Cyanide, so the quality/jank ratio could go either way; they're owned by the new publisher (BigBen) now, though, so hopefully that means they've got a bigger budget to make it good.
Iron Oath looks kinda cool, and I'm always down for new announcements; though it doesn't sound like there's anything super-huge in the works so far.

Also, some PlayStation event happening next Wednesday. Apparently, there will be next-gen games, running on PS5.
I've got a ton of deadlines next week, so I'll probably have to catch stuff in replays.
At least the PC Gaming Show in on a Saturday.

The Last of Us Part II - that shit looks cray-cray. Violent af. Beautiful environment, looks like they are upping their game. The buddy help that was on display looks like an impressive progression, I want to see more of that in action though. Did she have to molotov that dog though.... cruel. Overall, looks really good, I want to see reviews, hope it gets excellent scores. Damn, can't believe it's here in a month and then Ghost of Tsushima three weeks after that. . . . decisions, decisions.

For some reason, that's an IP that never grabbed me. everything I hear about it just makes it sound unappealing.
Just my opinion, obviously.

New update on the People Can Fly "loot shooter with powers"
It continues to look interesting (I like that there's monsters and not just mutants with guns as enemies).
Still a bit silly, because there's no jumping, so the knee-high platforms you run around (instead of jumping onto to shoot stuff) feels super game-y.
Kudos for not using Denuvo, though. I can see myself grabbing this for anywhere around 50 CAD, if it reviews well.

Sony Confirms: PS5 event on Thursday, 4PM EST.
Works out much better for me, might be able to see it live.
Sony fans can start getting excited.

Looking forward to it. Hoping they do a better job than Microsoft, shouldn't be hard tbh. I think a given is that we'll be seeing more about Godfall.

Most likely. I'd like WILD, Lost Soul Aside and some of the other China Hero project games to make an appearance (AI Limit looked cool).
Aside from Guerilla, Japan Studio and probably Insomniac, Sony's unlikely to have a lot of first party studios with games that are close to ready, I don't think. So there's definitely gonna be 3rd parties (maybe WB finally spills some beans? lol)
-BluePoint is another likely one, since they were feautured in that Wired PS5 reveal a year ago.

New IP's and big Sequel announcements would be awesome but what I'm really wishing for is a Destiny 2: Year 3 announcement. I've been watching some Destiny lore videos and the gameplay is giving me that itch. Gameplay loop is so goooood.
The chatter suggests that Bungie might be doing a full Darkness introduction this year, with new enemy types and everything, instead of waiting until Destiny 3.

No guarantees they'll be @ the event tho, Bungee can do their own stream.

They can but this generation Bungie have connected Destiny's brand with Playstation. They've been present at several E3s as far as I recall.
