Yeah, the performance seems so-so. What's worse is all the little improvements that are missing which were the selling point, like play anyway, with a wireless controler. Glad I cancelled my pre-order. I believe in the product but it doesn't look like it will be able to substitute a gaming PC any time soon.

I watched that trailer and halfway through I was already asking myself how fast can I save up enough money to buy a high end gaming PC and a VR headset?

Man I've missed Half-Life's universe. Seeing one of those headcrab zombies coming at you was awesome.

Starting to put together a new build. The good news is, I can keep my current PSU- 600W is more than enough for the Ryzen 3700/1660Ti combo I'm planning.

All I really need are new CPU, mobo, RAM and GPU. I've also got 350$ worth of gift cards for Best Buy, which is nice. unfortunately, their parts selection are pretty crap, but I shoudld be able to gram the RAM, new Win 10 OS and some extra storage there, at least.

Edit: ended up grabbing RAM on newEgg, and Win 10 thru Amazon. Blew most of the BestBuy gift money on a (heavily discounted) 2TB SSD.

My build is now basically done (unless I need a new case to fit it into). Once the rest of the parts arrive, gonna have some fun putting it all together.

For anyone who likes puzzle world games such as Witness, I can strongly recommend Odyssey. It is a science based game in which each puzzle is based around astronomy and basic physics. A decade list

The best video games of the decade – the top 50 games from 2010-2020, ranked

They didn't include some independent, or games that have a independent like vibe. Inside would have been in my top 10, and I would have included Firewatch, Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, and What Remains of Edith Finch on my list.

Also, I would have included Borderlands 2, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, and Bioshock Infinite for games that fall in the AAA category. Not sure why they overlooked those.

I played most of the top 10 games, except - Dishonored 2 (played the first and would have included that instead, and not in top 10), Fallout New Vegas and Mass Effect. Can't play 'em all. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . One day though.

The Game Awards 2019 will feature around "10 new game" announcements

There's been rumors about Assassin's Creed Ragnarok being one of the launch titles for PlayStation 5 / MS Project Scarlett coming holiday season 2020. I wonder if it will be one of the games teased?

Current buzz is suggesting Ragnarok will be first show at the PS5 reveal event, sometime in Feb.
Given Microsoft has been doing all the AssCreed marketing this gen though, who knows.

Ralph Colantonio (former director of Arcane) has a new studio and he will reveal his game there; Riot is gonna announce a single-player game set in the LoL universe that's being developed by someone for Riot; Microsoft will be showing Ori, Gears Tactics, and supposedly they have another game to reveal (Age of Empires 3 DE? Something new from Compulsion or Double Fine?)

People are also hoping to see more Elden Ring; Babylon's Fall should be shown off- either at TGAs or the State of Play on Tue (which is also where the R3make is supposedly gonna be revealed)-since Platinum said they were gonna talk about Babylon's Fall before the end of 2019;

And then there's the inevitable "will Rocksteady or WB Montreal show off what they've been doing with the Arkhamverse" question.

So yeah, it's probably worth checking out.

Expect the official reveal of the R3make, as well as more reveals and some updates from Sony's 1st party studios (so maybe possibly quite likely some Ghost of Tsushima news).

Babylon's Fall looks rough, "more info in the summer", so probably not gonna be released until 2021

Definitive list of what should be expected at the Game Awards (I'll update this if I spot more leaks/teases during the day)

-Sony will be showing a full version of the Ghost of Tsushima trailer
-Microsoft will be showing Ori 2, Gears Tactics as well as possibly a new title (my money is on Age of Empires 3 DE)
-Nintendo will be ??? (They are always there with big-ish stuff; what it'll be is unknown though)
-Valve (!!!) will be showing more Half-Life: Alyx
-Epic will probably have another sizzle reel showing what exclusives they've nabbed for 2020. Expect much gnashing of teeth (probably)
-Wizards of the Coast-owned game studio Tuque Games will be revealing a game set in a Dungeons & Dragons universe
-Riot Games will be showing a narrative-driven single player game set in the League of legends Universe developed by ???
-Warframe announcement of some sort
-Bethesda announcing an update for Elder Scrolls Online
-The creator of Dishonored has a new studio, WolfEye and they will be premiering their first game (likely some immersive sim)
-The Chinese publisher NetEase (they of the Diablo Immortal infamy) will be showing a new game called Naraka. No clue if it's a AAA or mobile game though.
-Green Day (the band) is gonna be there to announce a game.
