I definitely got really into the role of the Goose. To the point that I was honking and flapping my wings at people when I got frustrated.
In other news, Return of the Obra Dinn is finally coming to consoles October 18th.

That Obra Dinn news is awesome. I've been looking out for when it will come to consoles. The creator had tweeted a month or so ago that it would be coming to consoles in the Fall, but no specifics. I'm excited that it has a specific date now.

Rockstar's open-world cowboy game is coming to PC starting this November, with a Steam release a month later.
Next year's gonna pretty epic. I say next year, cuz this holiday I'm likely to blow my game-purchasing budget on new hardware, so I won't be buying RDR2 till next year.

Surprised they picked the Holiday season for the launch. November is packed.

Only PC titles that spring to mind for November are Doom Eternal and Fallen Order.
Besides the Steam launch is in December, because Epic shenanigans, probably. And that won't be so packed.

How has that game not come to PC yet? I know Destiny took its sweet time getting there to but still.. damn
Rockstar likes to bait people into double-dipping.
Many PC players own a console (usually a PS4) for console exclusives. So they release on consoles first, being coy about whether there' s a PC version at all, so people buy it the game on console.
Then eventually they announce a PC version and many PC gamers "double-dip" for the sake of higher frame-rates and other PC perks.

Don't forget the strategy of releasing a game close to a generation switch so that you also get that triple dip.

TBH, I expected them to announce RDR2 PC in spring of 2021 once they got the "enhanced" edition for next-gen consoles.
Them rolling out the PC port so early is a pleasant surprise.

Just watched the latest Avengers game trailer with Kamala Khan.
https://youtu.be/5g2ct2MuvK8
This is a much better trailer. I still hate the character models but it looks less garbage.
Also I loathe that they keep showing the characters without masks or Tony removing his face plate.

The last Marvel movie I saw was Iron Man 2, so I have no opinions on this whatsoever. Except that I'd rather have Eidos Montreal making another Deus Ex.

Oh, I hated the movie characters as well, it's the comic book look I'm looking for.

Used twice. I think it may actually be a sort of prequel centered on Soap.

Outer Wilds is coming to PS4 October 15th.
https://blog.us.play...ps4-october-15/
Super excited about that. The space travel and planet exploration looks crazy.
That coupled with Obra Dinn I'd gonna make for a busy October.
Oh and Outer Worlds is hitting October 25th!

8 cores, SSD for speedy loadings and using 100GB optical disks. Also 4K BluRay player.
I'm wondering how big the SSD will be, and how much the whole package'll cost.
in other news, RDR2 PC specs are out, and while overall the specs are modest, it takes up 150GB of HDD space. And the new COD will be 175 GB.
Glad we upgraded to no-cap bandwidth, but still, that's like 2 nights worth of downloading for RDR2.

I checked and I do not own either Max Payne 3 nor Bully.
Contemplating doing a RDR2 pre-order via the Rockstar Social Club to grab those 2 as freebies.
I'm fairly sure that Rockastar Launcher will be needed for the Steam version anyway, so this is just bypassing the hassle.

I'd be interested to know what you think of Max Payne 3. I loved the first two and yet couldn't get into the third. Maybe I should give it another go...

I wanted to like RDR2, so badly. I mean, the amount of detail in the game world is astonishing, an incredible achievement. And then it also has the most infuriating, aggravating control scheme and some baffling gameplay design decisions. After about 15 hours of playing, I still hadn't managed to 'get into it' in a way I had with the first game. It's quite an overwhelming game, yes, but I don't think that's the reason I stopped playing. There was just something about it that just didn't engage me. Technically, it's incredible. But I never became passionate about playing it.
That having been said, I do want to give it another go at some point.
