Plus, Xbox One Elite controller is god, as if the regular Xbox controller wasn't already the biggest system difference of note. XD (Though DualShock 4 is definitely an improvement on the DS3, for me the symmetrical thumbsticks and overall angles/slimness are still noticeably worse to use. :p )

The shoddy controllers are my biggest PS gripe. I literally have a bucketful of broken ps3 controllers, and my 2nd PS4 controller, while it still has its physical integrity, has bad electronic shit going on internally. rendering it useless for a lot of games. I'm back to using my old one, which is only in one piece because it's wrapped in a few yards of electrical tape. Yes, I'm hard on controllers (death grip), but I'm losing my patience with SONY. Sixty BUX a pop and a month or two later I'm holding a piece orf crap in my hands.

EDIT: OOPS! Posted with my game alt! I'll be back when the game is over to identify myself with an extended rant!

Can't link them from my phone but Rockstar has been teasing a Red Dead sequel the past couple days. It's happening!

Is this one of the links you're referring to?

I wish there was some info about a release date. Of all the future titles of any franchise, this is the one I am jonesing for most. I can't wait!

Yeah that's the one.

If they do it like GTA 5 we can expect months of teasers before anything concrete,

A title and release date(ish). Or just more teasing?: http://www.rockstarg...eadredemption2/

I'll be sure to check out the trailer being released Thursday.

Watched the video posted today. Doesn't tell you much, but it's a nice tease. I think this will be the most anticipated title (or one of) at E3 2017.

I'm always hearing stuff like that about controllers. Idk how this happens honestly. I've got my og controllers on all my systems and they are all still top notch. I have a tiny bit of wear on my sticks of PS4 due to 2 straight yrs of grinding Destiny daily but no malfunctions in performance with it.

Left stick on my PS4 controller in forward position works, doesn't work, works, doesn't work, doesn't work, doesn't work, works, doesn't work. Like that. All in about the time span it takes to type it.
At least cheapo (non dual-shock, non six-axis) 10 bux controllers are available for the ps3. I don't too much mind those failing left and right. No such option with the PS4 (far as I know). It's infuriating when a fairly new controller goes squirrely at the drop of a hat. I'm not a frustrated-throw-controller-against-a-wall guy. Just a hard-pusher-death-gripper.
Who does SONY have testing their controllers? Newborn infants? Give the job to me or chimps. then they'll have a controller that will last.

One good thing is the ps4 button mapping option. I can switch function from L1 and R1 to L2 and R2. Those buttons are quite a bit sturdier.

Have you considered training yourself so you're not doing the death grip thing?

I kept my original Xbox controllers (from 2003 or 2004) in decent shape until about 2010. It's quite possible to keep controllers working a long time without fucking them up beyond functioning correctly.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

Fixing my own flaws? Are you mad?!? :p
Yes, I havre made conscious efforts to relax my grip, but they have come to naught. Usually shortly after pressing "start." :p

There's this thing called heberden's nodes that develop in people who hold onto things too tightly for too long. Grappling people - especially judo players and Brazilian jiu jitsu players - get this often. It's freaked me out to see the older players have bad arthritis, so I take pretty good care of not squeezing things to death when I can.

I've also seen construction workers and plumbers with messed up hands due to so many impacts. I want hands that aren't jacked up when I'm ninety

I will google that and check it out. Needless to say, videogame controllers are not the only things I clutch for dear life. I strangle the hell out of my guitar neck and use unnecessary pressure when writing too. Me and mechanical pencils do not get along well at all. One time I was online at the library and the librarian came over and said, "You do not have to HAMMER the keys!" :p

That's a rare day-one purchase right there.

I'm thinking about getting the remastered skyrim. I never finished it when I first played it.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is out! And it is awesome!

Still an inherently flawed game imo, what with the wierd mix of low skill fighter and action RPG controls and features, plus 3d combat... But it has improved on the already fun first game in almost every way, and that includes some improvements around the controls. Gonna be dropping a lot of hours into this.

Somebody has started a Kickstarter for a Bud Spencer and Terrence Hill game.

This looks terrible and amazing:

"Bud Spencer and Terrance Hill... Made famous by their films in the 70s and 80s..."

Hmm. I was there in the 70s and 80s and this is the first I've ever heard of these (apparently) obscure fellows.

How is this possible? What part of the world are you from?

Here in Denmark they were really popular. Basically they are Italian actors who got a cult like following in the 70s. They did spoofs of the popular films of the time, like westerns, spy movies, etc. Most notably the Trinity films.

Basically think of them like a mix of Laurel and Hardy and Asterix and Obelix. And just a lot of slap stick violence.

EDIT: This is the best video compilation/trailer I could find on YouTube. The sound cuts out in the middle:

I'm from a part of the world that has never heard of Bud Spencer and Terrance Hill.

PS. Who the hell are Laurel and Hardy?!?

British comedic duo from the silent film era, similar to America's Three Stooges.

Civ 6 on PC, I think this iteration of civ is the best we've had yet, the new tech tree mechanic is brilliant.

Corvo and Emily are the player characters. It looks like an entirely new setting in terms of the country but a direct sequel in story. I think the demo mission has you saving or assassinating Sokolov.
Debut novel 'Incarnate' now available on Kindle
