I'll definitely be picking it up at some point. Indigo Prophecy and Heavy Rain were great games, despite the former falling apart 2/3rds through and the latter having one or two glaring plot holes.

I've been on a bit of a Kickstarter Binge recently....
http://www.kickstart...7657/raindrop-0 -Raindrop--A first-Person survival horror Puzzler. A game that's like a mix of S.T.A.L.K.E.R and Myst.
http://www.kickstart...742/the-mandate The Mandate-which is like a Mass Effect, but set in a Freelancer-type universe. With Space Tsarist Russians as the main actors!
and also this: http://www.kickstart...ce?ref=category -Universum, which is a Starcraft 2 clone, but it's made by basically 1 guy, and it looks pretty amazing. The game's already cleared its very small initial goal, but more stretch goals mean added content and extra campaigns, so I'm hoping this pulls in lots and lots of cash money. And if nothing else, it'd give me a modern RTS I can play offline.

I gave The Wolf Among Us a go. And damn, does it feel like a breath of fresh air after The Walking Dead. None of the I'll-save-you-Clementine, zombie apocalypse nonsense, and finally the protagonist is someone interesting. But then again it's only the first episode, so I'll just wait and see, I suppose

The Mandate is pushing all the right buttons for me - which is why I won't support it. It just sounds too good to be true. Or rather, it sounds like they're trying to do too much. If they somehow manages to tie together all those game mechanics and inspirations, and add a good story to it, it'll be amazing. But more likely they'll do a mishmash of the bare minimum or several disjointed elements that makes you love a little bit of the game but pine for the potential lost because they couldn't finish it all to the same standards of the bit you love.
I've also been on kickstarter today, though, backing a project called Rimjob. No, wait, Rimworld it's called. Also scifi, also pushing many of the right buttons, but much smaller in scope and apparently having a working game already (with a forum of people who've already played it, not just the developer bragging). On my mobile so I can't be bothered to link it, but I would argue it's worth the google search. [edit on a desktop: Link to Rimworld]
Also, we should have a Kickstarter thread, where we can discuss interesting projects and development of those we've backed. Someone with mouse and keyboard do your duty!

So, it looks like Watch Dogs has been delayed until Spring of 2014. As a result, I've cancelled my PS4 pre-order. I was on the fence about it anyway - the launch lineup for both consoles was already pretty shitty, in my opinion - but this sealed the deal.

That, and the fact it's a Foxcon product. That should count for something at least.

Mandate guys have put up a "ship builder" tech demo, which shows some really awesome damage models for ship combat, as well as a cut-down version of character generator, which is pushing all the right buttons for the part of me that appreciates RPGs. I'd suggest you check those out. I have a soft spot for the ambitious projects, but so far the one thing I backed and got delivered (Shadowrun returns) did not make me regret throwing money at it.

Probably financial scarring from all the free stuff they had to hand out to Elemental: War of Magic pre-launch owners (I got both Fallen Enchantress and Legendary Heroes plus a free DLC, I think).

While the head of Stardock Games is an absolute woman-harassing shitlord I don't think no Mac version is a personal slight. Or is it??!?!
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

So Soma looks to be pretty cool? The teaser stuff released so far has a cool future-SCP feel which is nice.
Speaking of the future, finally got Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon and it's pretty sicknasty so far!

Blood dragon is fantastic and it has a perfect 80s action film ending.
I really hope they spin it off into its own series.
