Including all optionals but excluding the first tutorial mission, 11 for the IG. I guess the same number for the others, too.
EDIT: make it 15, the game does not list the optionals once you have completed them.

OK, just finished the storyline missions for Just Cause 2. The last mission is ridiculous.
Just when I thought I couldn't love this game any more. I mean, launching a man into the sea from a mountain via bullet propulsion. Attaching a giant statue's head to a truck and whiplashing it around into enemy troops. Connecting a dude to a gas cylinder via a steel cable, shooting a hole in the cylinder and watching them spin off in every direction before it explodes. Grappling onto an enemy helicopter, shooting the copilot, ramming the pilot's head into the controls before throwing him out, shooting their dudes with their helicopter, then flying it into the next arriving helicopter and parachuting away. Dual wielding grenade launchers.
I guess what I'm saying is you need to get this game.

Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Okay, that is awesome. All though they didn't really show much variation.I liked the chellshading design, very reminiscent of Borderlands, a game I liked. How ever what is it with future games and their crazy architecture? Who on earth builds their city like that? It was also silly that they called it a Mech FPS and then only showed the FPS view at the last second, from the trailer it looked much more like a 3rd person console game.
Not sure if this is supposed to have single player campaigns or if it is just a multiplayer arena combat fare. I would like to see other scenery and scenarios. Like battles in the sky, on water, under ground, in a forest, etc. Here's hoping it doesn't turn into another Shattered Horizon.

So, Homefront is apparently very disappointing, though I might still rent it when I have a bit of spare time. But, is anyone else thinking of getting Crysis 2 when it releases? I'm thinking mostly for the multiplayer, and that I'd get it on Xbox...but I'm not sure. I wasn't exactly hooked on the first one, beyond the pwetty for a few days.
Are there any other good games out soon/recently that you think should trump it?

'Soon' is the next month or two.
And yeah, good point about the Witcher 2. Thoughhhhh, I may wait and make sure that I don't need the Enhanced Edition to be able to run it on my computers...my desktop is getting dated now (2008) and my laptop...incredibly powerful, but it is just an 11" screen, which is both great for portability and general use, and annoying when it comes to gaming. I don't really want to play the Witcher on Xbox, even if it had a firm release date, though.

And yes, Deus Ex 3. If this one works out, holy shit, sooooo keeeeeeen! I'm keeping an eye on it. But, no release date yet, and this one I might consider doing on a console...so it's a bit further away, heh.
+1 for reminding me about the Witcher 2.

Haha, well that pretty much seals it then, lol. I'm considering downloading the 360 beta, seeing as it's only 1.6Gb and is free.
Haven't been able to play MoH recently due to, well, hitting the end of my desire to level up, which means I only play when I really want to, and not having my disk on me, heh.

I really liked the beta, which is why I am going to buy the game. It was like CoD mixed with Halo. So fast paced shooter with an armor suit that does cool things. I also liked the tactical element of it, using the armor abilities drains the power of the suit (which is your health). If you use the abilities at the wrong time, it drains them and if there is no chance for them to regen before getting into a fight, you will die. Plus there are perks and weapon customization, so the CoD/Halo mix looks and plays great.

Yeah, that's what I was thought it looked like, and it really has that added balance of swapping on the fly. Seems like the 'perks' system has been lifted straight from CoD, too, and those are always nice to add a bit of variety...at least until everyone figures out the best ones to have. XD
Should be good, then. How did you find the matchmaking system? Is lobby-game-lobby, or drop-in-drop-out like MoH? Both of them work, but I've really become used to the continuous play from MoH, lol.
EDIT: Oh yeah...going to HAVE to get Battlefield 3. Unless DICE screw up completely, that game is going to be god-tier.
...dammit, I wasn't intending to spend so much money on games this year. *sigh* At least I might have a job on weeknights to top that up soon. >.<

It's lobby-game-lobby, though it took way too long to find a match initally in the beta. But I'm sure it will be good to go for release.
And yes to battlefield 3. The new video that went up this week showing the ability to go prone was cool, and the destruction engine has been tweaked even more, so it is awesome!
I've already bought several games, and it will get much worse with all the good ones this year. I've bought Dead Space 2, Dragon Age 2, Read Dead Redemption, and Rift so far. Still want to buy Crysis 2, Battlefield 3, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, Mass Effect 3, Skyrim, new CoD, Gears of War 3, Rage, and I'm sure a few others that I have forgotten like Arkham City hehe. Luckily, a friend here at school makes sure to buy different games from me (except when the game is too awesome), so that we can switch. He has Bulletstorm, AC:Brotherhood, Alan Wake, Left 4 Dead 2, and more that I still need to play. And I need to study for the MCATs and prepare for interviews at med schools. It is going to be a long year
