Chip summit today in D.C. to talk about shortages and supply chain weakness. Primarily I believe the discussion will be about impact to auto and defense, but we all know what the knock-on effect is (*sad face). I don't think I'll be getting a PlayStation 5 until 2022 (*even sadder face).

Days Gone coming to PC May 18th
Given HZD showed up on GOG about 3 months after its Steam debut, I'm not gonna rush to get it Day 1 this time.
Hopefully Sony reveals more of their "slate of PS4 ports" soon-ish.

Did you guys see that news that former Bungie/Destiny devs are working on an exclusive game for the PS5? Does that move the needle for you?

No real interest unless they're showing actual content.
There are always former AAA studio developers all over the place making new studios and new games. Thousands of people have probably worked for Bungie by now.

It's a multi=player IP, soooo.....
Good for Sony, I guess. They're missing strong MP IPs, and a portion of their core audience has been asking for some.
But I don't need other people in my escapism, so i'm ambivalent to the news.

Thursday will be a Sony day. The China Hero project presentation, and then a State of Play featuring an in-depth look at Rachet, and then 2 indies.
Lost Soul Aside will be showing at the China Hero thing. Maybe AI Limit, too.
Edit: gameplay went up yest
Final Devil May Fantasy.

It really does but it needs to get here sooner rather then later. I fear my eyes and hands won’t be quick enough for it. It’s fast.
Without the UI being shown, it's hard to tell just how strong those attacks are, though.
I'm not crazy about the running around the edge of arena to dodge stuff. But it does look like over-the-top fun.
This used to be a one-man project, but once Sony took up publishing, the dev team grew to 30 people. Still a cross-gen game.
Not sure if they're gonna show it off again at tonight's State of Play again. Devolver has a game premiere there.
Returnal seems to be reviewing pretty well. I wonder if it's gonna get the numbers though, since it's a 70 dollar roguelite...

When playing an FPS online, have you guys ever found yourself yelling into the mic: "eat my gun, bitch!"

I posted this question to the Destiny discussion thread: https://forum.malaza...ost__p__1434678 . But I thought I would post here as well, for those who may night venture into that thread. So, is Bungie's strategy to continue with its season model in Destiny 2? And they have no plans to work on a Destiny 3? I mean they probably have something going but it's far off in the future, yeah? So Destiny 2 for awhile yet?

They've stated there's no plans for numbered sequel in the near future. Destiny is a live game, sequels aren't needed.
They're also splitting their focus and working on developing a new IP currently.

By announced, do you mean officially? Because for the past couple years that's not been their goal.

Giant Bomb is breaking up. Brad Shoemaker, Vinny Caravella and Alex Navaro are leaving and Jeff Gerstmann is staying. I'm assuming the rest of the staff are staying.
The word is that the pay and benefits weren't to people's liking when Giant Bomb was acquired by Red Ventures.
I haven't been as fond of Giant Bomb's content in recent years but this still feels incredibly sad. Giant Bomb started around the time I got really into videogames. I've followed those guys for 12 years.
Hopefully they don't go their separate ways. I'd support a patreon company if they go that way. I've been a yearly subscriber for around ten years.

Yeah, that was sad news indeed. I felt genuinely affected by it. I've listened to the podcasts every week for 10 years or so.

Gameplay overview for the new game by Streum On, the team that made E.Y.E. Divine Cybermancy.
Apparently, they were recently bought by Focus Home.
Also apparently, Focus will have 3 new games to reveal at E3.
Seeing how Focus has games in development with Dontnod, Asobo and Deck 13, I'm pretty curious what they're cooking up.

The Yakuza team at Sega revealed a sequel to Judgement.
Apparently, Judgement will be spun off as the "action combat" series, while future mainline Yakuza games will keep the new turnrelease for -based combat system from Yakuza 7
Also, same-day releases for PlayStation and Xbox not (PC's getting shafted, for w/e reason).
I own the first 3 Yakuza games (0, 1 & 2- the Kiwami remake versions), thanks to some Humble deals. I should really start playing the sereies one of these days.
Also, the new "integrade" edition of FF7Remake is exclusive to Sony "for at least 6 months". At which point, Epic will probably pay to keep in on EGS for a year.
Gives me more time to play the original for the first time at some point.
EDIT: I've never actually played a "JRPG". I guess Nier will probably be my first one whenever I can snag it at 50% off.

The Jank is coming in one week.
Hoping the reviews that come out on Monday are good, so I can justify pre-ordering for that bonus character class on GOG.

That shit looks weird. Sub humans instead of animals and I’d probably think about getting this.
It's inspired by 90s mascot platformers, and anthropomorphic animals were THE thing back then.
It's like Assassin's Creed: NiMH edition. Only more colourful. And weird.
Weird is good.
