A lot of modifications for the better. I found the whole interface had a lot better flow than BG, esp with the quick menu.

I just finished Half life 2 last night. Fun game, but the bossfight at the end was way too easy.

Working on Episode 1 now...which I am happy to see starts you out with the supercharged gravity gun that murders people. Fun stuff. I hope I get an actual gun soon though...as much fun as a one-shot kill gun is, it just isn't as satisfying as unloading an assault rifle clip into a combine soldier's face.

Episode 1 finished. Good.

Wondering whether to hold off on Ep 2 because of the cliffhanger that others alluded to.

Fuck it. Playing it.

That was easy. Then I have to finally finish Bioshock so I can pick up Bioshock 2

I just finished playing through Bioshock 2, and thought it was just as good (if not better) than Bioshock 1. Plus the multiplayer mode is pretty good. Basically it is a CoD clone, complete with a ranking system and perks, but it is well done. The plasmids just make it more interesting.

Thought this one was great. The novelty of his zero punctuation gimmick has worn off a while ago, but I though he got some truly great one liners into this one.

Also now more than ever I have to eventually get my hands on a PS3 copy of Just Cause 2-

Don't know why it is sluggish on your end, works perfectly on mine in the pc version :D

Came across my Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn discs today, and they're in surprisingly good nick. I was terrible with CDs back when I was younger, it's nice to know these ones have survived. Anyway, decided to play it again. Thinking of being a Kensai/Mage or an Undead Slayer this time....

Make sure to check out some of the mods for it. There's been made some serious improvement to the graphics.

Yeah, I've tried a few mods, and they're pretty awesome. Graphics don't really bother me, as they aren't terrible (unlike PS:T). It really doesn't need modding, I'm having tons of fun with just the vanilla aspects of the game, although it is better I admit. I'm doing the Cult of the Unseeing Eye quest at the moment, love this quest. Plus you get Keldorn, who is brilliant.

When I come to power, the woman who made the Saerilith mod will be as close to first up against the wall as I can make it. Obviously I'll need a very big wall.

Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Shit YEA!!!

Stopped by the videogame store last night to see if there were any titles on for cheap. Usually I buy year-old games to avoid the ridiculous 70 dollar cost of a new PS3 game.

Dead Space - $12
Bioshock 2 - $17

I am going to have a hard time getting anything done for a little while.

Too many games, too little time.

I still haven't finished Mass Effect, and I have Mass Effect 2 sitting there.

I have Red Dead Undead Nightmare to complete, and although it's not as fun as the original, it's still entertaining.

Right now I have Assassins Creed Brotherhood to work through, and I keep finding more challenges and things to collect, and lairs to rob. And now I have a crossbow, nice. And Rome to explore, which looks awesome. Loving it so far.

Yet I really want God of War 3 now I have a PS3, and I'm going to have to get Demons Souls as it looks awesome and horribly difficult.
At the moment I get a few spare hours in the evening if I'm lucky, and only then if I don't get distracted by Minecraft first...

@Cerveza- that's exactly what I do, except for the very big releases. There are too many good games and I can't buy them all at the $60. Wait 6-12 months, and most games (except some 3rd party big releases, like gears) will be below $30. It's always awesome.

Within the last month, I got Bioshock 2 for $16 and Lost Planet 2 for $10. Plus two of my favorite games- Too Human and Dead Space where both $12 when I bought them last year. Best way to buy video games.

Yeah. Actually the only ones I've paid full price for so far were the COD games, mainly because the MP is so much better nearest the release before everybody knows every corner and glitch on each map with each weapon.

And games like Fallout3. No way I was waiting for that one.

Other than that though, I'm usually into the used, year-old-or-more games. Even God of War is way down since the release price. I just noticed the other night at the store that they are bundling PS3 controllers with the God of War I and II combo disc, for 5 bucks more than the price of a plain controller.

And my controller is dying a horrible death....I see some serious death and destruction in my future. The controller is red too...which is kinda cool, though I'd rather get a pink one.

Man, I just can't get enough of BGII. This is seriously the best game ever made. Well, RPG anyway.

Today was interesting. Totally forgot about one quest (the one where you get go through the secret door in the sewers after visiting Firkraag), and walked into a room with 5 Mind Flayers, completely unprepared. Started buffing immediately while trying to fend off mind attacks, and fared pretty well. Only lost Minsc to confusion at first. Then once I was sufficiently protected I stupidly decided to dispel Minsc's confusion, and in the process wiped out all the protections I'd just cast. Insta-death. Then I just reloaded the auto-save and hacked them all to pieces. :p

That's what I love about this game. The challenge. Dragon Age or any recent RPGs I can think of are nearly as hard or unforgiving as BGII is at times. And apart from Anomen and Nalia the NPCs are all brilliant.

Oh, and I completely forgot Edwin turns into a woman for a while. Endless hilarity. 'I feel your stares! Die! Die!' :p

Solo? That sounds crazy hard. Might try that. Any suggestions for class and strategies?

If you're going solo, I've seen some folks do it with a FMT (fighter mage thief) combo class. You get so much xp that you level up in all 3 pretty quickly...plus you don't have to completely abandon any of the play styles completely. That's more the powergaming method though, likely a lot harder to do it as a single-class.
