The main character's name from that actor from TWD spoils it though - Sam Porter Bridges.

You carry shit to isolated survivors to help them reconnect to one another, thus building bridges to reboot society and bring it back online.

I'm pretty confident I can avoid spoilers until next year and dive into the mindfuckery once it comes to PC.

Death Stranding compared to The Postman (the excellent David Brin book - read it!).

Seems Death Stranding is getting very mixed reviews.

Part of me wants to be fiscally responsible and skip the game but on the other hand, the shared world stuff will probably be most potent during launch.

Blizzcon is going on this week.

Diablo 4 has been revealed. Fantastic cinematic trailer. Less fantastic gameplay trailer but it sure looks next gen.

That's the kind of trailer I have always cherished Blizzard for. Twenty years and their cinematics still blow me away.

Awesome WOW: Shadowlands cinematic trailer as well. I so, so wish they'd do something like a
WOW2. A modern take on MMOs would be great.

Yeah, that was a cool trailer.
D4 is an always online game, tho, so I won't be buying it.

No. But I'll probably check out the PC version whenever that's out.

Aw man, I was hoping someone from this forum would jump in early. The reviews I've seen are just below my threshold to justify a day one, full price purchase. So was hoping to have some insight into the game from members here.

BK do yourself a favor and watch some reviews. The trailers don't pay a full picture.

Kojima has been pretty consistent in his critique of modern society, on global warming, nuclear weapons and american foreign policy.

I personally think the game looks terrible. It's a game seemingly entirely based around the idea that encumbrance and item degradation should have their own game just for the two of them.

Oh I don't doubt he's aware of Western culture but it's just such a typical video game headline. It's up there with "developer believes their videogame is the best game they've made".

I'm cautiously curious about Death Stranding. I Will play it eventually but Destiny, Outer Worlds and Star Wars get priority.

Fucking idiocy on the part of Famitsu (Japan’s most prestigious gaming magazine): They gave a perfect review score to Death Stranding, and now it emerges that their former editor-in-chief cameos in the game as an Easter Egg, and where he says to the main character something along the lines of “you’ll surely get a perfect score.”

And apparently he’s also cameoed in two other games previously, both of which also received perfect review scores. I mean, talk about feeding a narrative about games journalism.

Oh I think it's been common knowledge, at least when hearing the press mentioning Famitsu, that their scores are bought and paid for. There was some slide in their scores some where around the 2000s I think.

But then of course you could ask... what the fuck is Keighly doing in the game but Kojima and Keighly have been intertwined for years.

XO19 tomorrow.

Rumour has it, Microsoft will be revealing new IPs from Rare and Obsidian.

Also, Age of Empires 4 will be shown again.

Looking forward to seeing this stuff. I'm waiting for Black friday to pick up a new GPU (probably a 1660 Ti), and I'll be shopping around for a Ryzen 3700+ mobo combo for Boxing Week, to build a Win 10 machine.

Gamepass getting more games would be nice.
