The trailers are catering to that specific kind of Kojima fan who loves his weird and creative game design ideas. the Metal Gear series is full of this stuff.

I still feel burned by MGS5 so I'm not overly hyped myself but you can expect a game that is unlike your average AAA game.

It will have combat and boss fights but it will also have weird shit.

MGS has always had zany shit and plot but it still had at its core a game that was about action and stealth. The former helped make the latter stand out but the latter was the game.

This death stranding stuff is making the game dead on arrival for me if they don't show some substance soon

Or, you know, you can just wait and watch the thousands of reviews featuring gameplay.

Sure and that's what I will do I just find it odd that their teasers are killing hype rather than enhancing it. I don't think I'm alone. I think the majority of players and articles are like wtf

I think it's entertaining watching the confusion.

The peeing actually has a function. I guess where you drain the lizard, mushrooms grow. So I'm guessing they are used in some crafting aspect of the game.

Dying Light 2 extended gameplay footage to be shown August 26 – watch it here

Dying Light is, rightfully so, in the discussion as one of the best games of this current console generation. If you haven't played it, you really should. I'm interested in where they are going to take it in Dying Light 2. The 'consequences' element has me intrigued. While not a new concept, it sounds like they are taking this idea and maximizing the noticeable effect choices you make has on your play-through.

Here's the video. Pretty impressive. I forget, is there a release date for this?

The release date is somewhere around early 2020.

I'm watching the demo now. It looks amazing. But either that demo is a vertical slice they manipulated or I'm confused as to how the game adapts to a diversion like the player falling into that Dark zone. From what I could tell you could have avoided that but it also seemed like a scripted story segment.

Also, the city looks amazing. The open world design in the first Dying Light is one of the best I've experienced in any game I've played, but in what they are showing in this DL2 game play demo, it looks even better.

Metacritic doesn’t quite reflect it (currently 81 there), but CONTROL, Remedy’s (Max Payne, Alan Wake, Quanum Break) new action-adventure game, is being lavishly praised in all the reviews I’ve read so far, both for narrative and gameplay.

Looking good. Also, this is why you don't trust people calling themselves "peace keepers" in a post-apoc situation.

Since it's 505 publishing, I'm presuming it'll hit GOG once the EGS exclusivity is up (like Ashen and Sinking City are). By then whatever expansions are launching as Play Station exclusive will also be out for PC, most likely.

Decay of Logos is out on Friday, and GreedFall and Devil's Hunt are coming in September. Those are my picks for autumn games, and those should take me up to the holiday sales- unless THQN finally announces a release date for Biomutant- wouldn't shock me if they go for late Nov/early Dec again like they did with Darksiders III

Bloodlines 2 demo with developer commentary

Combat looks about as janky as the original, but that game is still one of my top 5 of all time, so I don't care. The writing team here is amazing, and I like what I'm hearing about the actual RPG-y bits.

I’m very interested in Greedfall.

Will wait for reviews though.

A short look at some of the systems, with a developer commentary

Some copies were apparantly available early in NYC retail, and now there are some preview opinions out in the wild already. The buzz seems to be mostly positive.

I can’t get the video to load past 25 seconds. If I get it will definitely be on XB for 4K. Sekiro visuals were sick and I need more eye candy.

Not sure if this game has any multiplayer function or not.

Ok finally loaded up. It’s not as polished as it probably will be on disc/final version. It still looks good though. I really do dislike these “marks” on the women though. Makes them look like they grew beards. Pretty neat combat that I can see myself really trying to master/tweak.

Interest peaked.

I could be wrong, but I think those tattoos could be related to the plague your char is trying to find the cure for.

Just like all the previous Spiders games, I'm pretty sure this is single-player only.

Also, "Ashes of Oahu", the "post-apoc-shooter-set-in-Hawaii-that's-kinda-like-that-PS4-game-WILD" is out of Early Access on Steam!

Considering checking it out, along with "Decay of Logos" .

Hades, even in early access is one of the best games I have ever played. Its gameplay loop is so satisfying and a little addicting. I cant tell you how many times I have said I would stop after this room, gone on to clear it, than clear the next fifty, finish the game or die and restart before I catch myself and Im like okay this room for sure this time.

The difficulty is also somehow just right. The first time I cleared the first biome I thought the second was unfair, took another five attempts before I met the boss who I thought was insanely unfair. I thought the second biome was un-fun it was so difficult the first few playthroughs. Now im embarrassed if I dont at least make it to the fourth biome, though clearing it can be hit or miss.

Before I forget. EPIC store gives out two free games a week every week and they are normally actually quite good. If your not taking advantage start now.

Also does anyone know of any other games launchers that do the same
