I played the reboot I think. It's the one that is sort of "easy-mode", right? Where every time you miss a jump the princess saves your or time rewinds. That a good game. Loved the ending as well,

So I'm on Chapter 8 (I think) of Dishonored 2. Did anyone else feel that, while it is an excellent game, there isn't enough different from the first game? Or am I just playing it badly?

Compared to the first game I liked that it didn't try to swerve you mid way through, it's a more straight forward revenge story. On the other hand I never really gave a shit about the targets. Felt like the game was just going down a check list, with little actual personal involvement beyond the initial betrayal.
Like in so many other games, films, books, etc. I think the feeling of urgency or threat would have been strengthened by having Delilah and/or her hench-women showing up to challenge you again and again.
In terms of similarities I played both games sort of similar, in that I tried to hoover up every piece of gold or power up I could find like a mag pie with OCD. The big difference being that I was ultra stealthy in the first game and more of a murder machine in the second one.
I killed. so. many. people. in Dishonored 2. Soldiers, civilians, criminals, they all deserved getting stabbed and turned into ash. I feel like the civilizations presented in the Dishonored games are the kinds of places that the T'lan Imass would march in and cleanse if they were awoken to anger.

Yes I get what you mean. "Hey here is someone we mentioned once in the last mission. They are now revealed to be a MAJOR part of this whole conspiracy even though we'd never heard of them before. Now you have to do all these convoluted things to get to them!"
I am enjoying it but I agree with you.

The level design though is amazing in Dishonoured two. The clockwork mansion is the most amazing level I can remember ever having played.

Alan Wake is apparently being pulled from all digital stores because of some kind of license ran out. Unless some kind of new deal gets struck some day, this will be the last time you can buy Alan Wake digitally.
It's 90% off for the next 48 hours or so:

If you've never played Alan Wake I warmly recommend it. It's like a mix of Twin Peaks and Dean Koontz Shadows and Stephen Kings... well, you basically ARE Stephen King.

RDR 2 confirmed delayed, now going to try and hit "Spring" 2018 release date.

I was expecting this, so I'm too bummed out.

So for those of you who also played Ghost Recon: Wildlands - any thoughts on the DLC? Due to circumstances I had the season pass already, but I haven't touched Narco Road because it seems pretty lazy (especially not adding any actual new weapons) - but Fallen Ghosts is out today and it adds new weapons and has a plot that both ties into the main game and seems to make more sense. Plus, the main antagonist appears to have a more creative name than "El Invisible". The other thing that seems good about it is that it's adding actual new weapons, including some cool ones like the MDR and PDR-C, both of which I'd actually like to see added to the base game at some point. So I am thinking I might actually try Fallen Ghosts.

I finished all the territories in Wildlands so I'm a bit worn out on the game. I don't think I need to play any DLC, but hey, if you already own the season pass.

Gwent beta is now available on PC, PS4 and X1. I tried it out yesterday and... maaaybe? It's still in beta, and there's a cool game there, but it's lacking something I feel.

Yeah. I tried to play it on pc with a friend over the weekend but couldn't get it to work (we both tried sending invites but the other person didn't receive them - tried a lot of times before giving up). Server issues, maybe?

I bet a bunch of you Dark Souls fans will love this 2D platformer:

Those bosses towards the end are horrifying.

That does look interesting. Like that other 2d Souls clone called Salt and Sanctuary.
On a brighter note, has anyone played Rime yet?

So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

Wow, that is some amazing art. Too bad it's a 2d platformer, as I'll never actually play it.

Hi! If anyone is interested. Here are my accounts. Feel free to add me up.
Steam: Bridgeburner
Bnet: Bridgeburner#6969
That number was not intended. Somehow just ended up mine.
On a side note, in most games wherein you can create a character, I always use Malazan related names and exchanging the first letter to 'Y' because my real name also starts with a Y.
Example: Ydaephon, Ycarium, Yonos, etc.
Cheers!

GOG is doing a Summer Sale.
EDIT: OH and you get Rebel Galaxy free with your first purchase!
https://www.gog.com/
Just bought The Saboteur. I've been wanting to re-play this game for years but it's not available on Steam for some reason. I have a suspicion I am probably going to be let down, I thought the games controls and many of the ideas at the time were somewhat mediochre. I don't expect that impression will have improved with 7 years going by.
But the game was so much fun. This was in the early days of the Open World games. Running around a black and white occupied Paris and blowing up Nazis was very enjoyable. I spent most of my time just locating Nazi installations across the city and destroying it.
On a side note, I can't help but notice that GOG seems to pre-empt Valve every year, by starting their Summer Sale a few weeks before Steams Summer Sale. Even though they seldom have any games I want I applaud the strategy.

I like MMO's in theory but I am waiting for the day they somehow manage to create gameplay/combat that doesn't revolve around you clicking on a baddie and watching your toon doing his attack animations while you occasionally click a hot key.
