Did you get the GOTY edition? If so you should have a bunch of super villain extra missions that should satisfy your interests. They're pretty basic most of them but they each add a bit of variety to the game.
Let me know what you think when you eventually finish the Chemical Plant story chapter and finish the first part of the game. I loved the transition.

Yup, got the season's pass and everything.
I'm sure they're there, I just haven't had a chance to explore the whole city yet.
As for "transition", do you mean

I received Titanfall 2 yesterday, and spent some time with the campaign. It's a lot of fun, surprisingly. The mechanics of movement in this game is just fun. I rarely play shooters as I've said, but the movement - the speed - of this game will make everything else feel slow I fear.
They're also not afraid to actually do cool stuff in the campaign. There's time rifts and scentient robots and crazy mercenaries and enormous underground factories. And I'v just played for a couple of hours.

Heads up for those interested. GOG is doing a sale on Witcher 3's DLC and if you already own the base game and the two expansions, they automatically gift you the GOTY version of the game. Which is basically the same thing but it's cool to get the GOTY version sitting in the library.
Just received an e-mail out of nowhere notifying me that they had added the GOTY to my library.

I got it on black Friday! Finished the campaign in 6 hours and immediately jumped into some multiplayer and then jumped right back into the campaign on a harder difficultly. The campaign is perfectly paced. Not a wasted moment! Surprisingly the least interesting part is the titan on titan combat. The pace of combat is fantastic. Wall running and sliding while trying to place the perfect head shot. Could not recommened it enough.
If you or anyone else is playing on PS4 add me! RedDiomedes!

I found Titanfall 2s campaign oddly easy. The enemy AI isn't steller and you can murder grunts with ease. I ended up playing through the campaign on hard and breezed through it.
I'd definitely recommend anyone to try the multiplayer though. Even if you're not into MP you should try a couple rounds of Bounty Hunt or Last Titan Standing. Really fun game types.

Yes, I think its part of the magic of the campaign. It makes you feel powerful! I would advise any FPS lover to start on Hard at the lowest. You can still die from silly mistakes or ending up out of position. I think the one flaw of the campaign was that at no point do you fight other pilots outside of Titans. Might have been to hard to program.

They are also apparently starting their winter sale. With a giveaway of Neverwinter Nights Diamond edition. (I already have a free key from pre-ordering TW3 way back when)
They just don't stop with the sales. I'm running out of stuff to wishlist.

The Last Guardian is out next Tuesday (Dec. 6) for Playstation 4. I haven't heard or read much in the way of early reactions/reviews. I guess that's not surprising due to the many/lengthy delays the game has endured. I also find the release this late into the holiday concerning too. I'm still definitely interested, I just want to see some reviews/reactions before I make a decision. You gamers heard/read anything? (negative or positive)

Haven't heard any leaked impressions. Usually there are people on Neogaf who got early copies but I haven't seen any threads. I imagine that Sony are keeping a clamp on things, one way or another.
Personally I am expecting and okay but outdated game. Very pretty, atmospheric, but probably a bit clunky or antiquated in other ways.

They talked about the game vaguely on the Giant Bombcast. There's seemingly an embargo until next week.
My PSN ID is crossmantis, by the by. It's from the original xbox live, where Morgoth was taken so they suggested crossmantis as a similar alternative. Clearly it was fate.

Have seen some reviews for The Last Guardian now. They are lining up with how I thought the game would be received. Overall, sounds like if you enjoyed Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, then it's a definite play. It's on my to play radar for sure, but probably will wait till it drops in price. Maybe get around to playing it Q1 2017.

Been playing Gears 4 and Overwives with mates. Mrs has gotten me Valkyria Chronicles for Christmas so that should be fun.
I'm also thinking of getting a Seiken Densetsu 3 playthrough on. I don't think I ever got around to beating Hawk/Riesz's end boss. Did the other two.

Valkyria Chronicles is a great game. The one gripe I have against is, is that mission completion on A rating is completely counter intuitive to the cover system. But: fabulous game, enjoy.

For those interested in Frog Fractions and the mystery of where Frog Fractions 2 was, it was revealed before Christmas that the developers hid Frog Fractions 2 inside a game called Glittermitten Grove.

I haven't played it yet, since I'm not sure if it's worth the money but I LOVE everything surrounding Frog Fractions since they released the first one. It's such a crazy "phenomenon".
Anybody else play the original Frog Fractions and what did you think?
EDIT: Here's a link to the original Frog Fractions if you want to play it (It's a free flash game):

Remember just keep playing and upgrading your frog.

The players in Elite: Dangerous just had their first contact with another Alien species after 3 years. It's just a new patch with a scripted event but for some reason this seems really cool and fascinating to me. If the game was on sale right now I think I'd buy it just to experience it.

Dawn of War 2 is now available on Mac, and on the christmas sale, so I bought the whole thing. I'm playing the campaign and having a blast. Alas, the risk of doing something like this is that a little voice in my head starts whispering about how fun it would be to paint again. Or, god forbid, play the tabletop version.

I don't know, I finished Skirmishes 3 and 4 with an A rating first time using the cover system. Skirmish 3, I had a lancer deploy at the second base I capped, and take out their tank. Turn 3, their troops all rushed out to try and get to him, and my scouts snuck around and capped the base. Skirmish 4, I had to use cover to get to the sniper nest, but from the base there I deployed Marina, weakened the red guy in their base, and then sent Alicia around the map to take the base. Ez farms.
