It's Nolan North, he's basically voice acting royalty at this point. Personally I think replacing Dinklage was disappointing because his voice is distinct, but North definitely has better range.

He's also the second best voice set in Saints Row 4, after the English one. By which I mean the voice set where he is Nolan North as Nolan North, not a character.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Yeah, every line he reads I can't help but think how much better it would have been with Dinklage.
It's ok, I'm used to it now, but still, it was a bad call.

My friend still hasn't finished TLOU Remastered so I've borrowed Far Cry 4 from him. Never played any of them so should be interesting.

I think the speculation is that Dinklage just wasn't as readily available for voice work, so coinciding with the new content release they future proofed the ghost buddy.

So I started playing Far Cry 4. Safe to say I'm not very good so far. Just did the prologue & got to the village with the rebels. Any tips/hints before I go further? I already died like 5 or 6 times though I'm beginning to get the hang of "this isn't a blast your way through everything" type game...

I played through most of Farcry 4 again just a week ago, so it's pretty fresh in my mind. Some pointers.
Weapons will be made available to you as you progress through the main story missions. The very best weapons in the game won't be able until the last 5 or so story missions. However there is another way to get even better weapons, that is by unlocking the signature weapons. You can look at them to see what it requires to get them.
If you look at the progression menu in your menu select, you can see that performing a certain number of side quests or collecting enough stuff unlocks signatures. You can also keep track of how far you are with any given mission type.
Don't worry about which side to pick in the Golden Paths internal politics. Everyone is an asshole in that game. There is no good choice.
Use the syringes. Specifically the hunting syringe is awesome because it will allow you to see all enemies in a base/camp as you approach it.
As for the enemies camps, you need to take two of them with out getting noticed to unlock a skill but besides that you can really do what ever you want. If you take a helicopter and the grenade launcher side arm you can literally take out a fortification in under a minute. As for silent take overs, getting on a distant hill with a silent sniper riffle is pretty good. Unleashing caged animals and throwing bait in there also works.
As for hunting, keep an eye on the map as you unlock it. You can see where certain kinds of animals hang out. If you can't find them, try throwing some bait on a road or a similar open area. The predators will come running.

If you plan on doing every side mission and getting every collectible no matter what, I might just push straight through the story missions first. That's what I did second time around. That way you get the ridiculous auto-cannon and auto-sniper to play around with in the post game.
You have to do the first mission for every side mission before the rest of them show up across the map.
You will want to do the Kyrat Fashion Week side missions to get the final upgrades for your equipment.

Well my friend finished TLOU which is the game I wanted to play so as I'm not far through Far Cry 4 at all, I'm going to start on that instead. Will probably come back to Far Cry later.

Treyarch put a Doctor Who'ish Easter egg into the Nuketown map in COD: Black Ops 3. Super freaky.

A new dilemma - I got Star Wars: Battlefront today (and a sweet new TV to play it on) so I might be putting TLOU on hold for now. Again. Dunno which to play first.

Play Battlefront now while there is still an active player base and the majority of the players are still learning to play the game. You wont like it when there's only the hardcore 5% left in a months time.

I heart the purty, but i'm rather discouraged by the "part 1 of three" bit, as well as the "pre-order to play Chaos" crap.
Current plan is to buy the complete bundle in the 2017 Holiday Steam sale.

This is a week for conferences and gameshows it seems.
The Video Game Awards were hosted Thursday:
http://thegameawards.com/watch-live/
I found it sort of boring. Nothing particularly news worthy other than the announcement of a "Fig campaugn" to fund Psychonauts 2.
The Playstation Experience 2015 is live right now, watching it as I type that:
That Final Fantasy footage looks like everything we could have hoped for, I wanted Barret to look more ridiculous but I get what they were going for. My inner teenager is going to nerdgasm over this game.
Anybody else watching?

FFVII remake looks great so far. Some people are complaining about the changes to combat, but I'm honestly just fine with it. I'd rather they do something new than just copy-paste the original with modern graphics. I can always go back and play with original when the mood strikes.
New Ni no Kuni has me kind of excited. I enjoyed the first game despite its major flaw of treating the player like a 5 year old with Alzheimer's.

Inquisition, though I'm just not feeling the love for it right now. Possibly because I'm also reading Midnight Tides and that's taking far more of my interest ad energies. Also your name ^ reminds me it has been far too long since I last played LoK Defiance.

Startedplaying Domionions 4 in the weekend. While the basics are pretty much a TBS game (recruit, invade, curb-stomp, rinse and repeat), when it comes to mid-game magic combinations, I am clueless at proper design. It has been a while since I played something this complex (and challenging, in a fun way).

New Ni No Kuni? Will check that out, but yes, would be nice to have some challenging gameplay - I hope they tweak it, or come up with something new in that department - it got repetitive very quickly.
I just liked playing inside a Ghibli film!
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.
