Most likely just a random warrior that the artist thought up, a wild guess would be a generic Grey Sword or one of the Panions, a Gidrath or Serdomin. I forget what kind of weaponry which unit carries.
If you want to try and link the person to a character in the books, it could be Itkovian. That is pretty much the only character I can think of that would carry those precise weapons at any point.

Despite the fact that this is a very generic cover depicting nothing specific at all, it's probably still my favourite of all the MoI covers... it has the right atmosphere, while the other two were too busy really.

I hate the Memories of Ice TOR cover...it's right there with Gardens of the Moon in my opinion.

I'm with you on that one. I don't particularly like any of the TOR covers except for Deadhouse Gates.
On the other hand, I also don't like that they switched styles/artists for Dust of Dreams either. I like all of my books in a series to have a uniform look. And I don't want to have to re-buy them to achieve that.

Glad I'm not the only one that feels this way. It drives me nuts that they changed the trade dress for DoD. I may not have liked the other covers, but at least all the books looked right together.
