D'riss claims Ruse is smoking lady, who is suspected scum. Ruse states they have only been in one scene, and that D'riss is lying. Omtose claims that he knows D'riss is American Syndicate. Who do we test?

Not necessarily; it's just that Omtose has insisted that he used a find on D'riss today (in terms of game days) to discern that D'riss is scum. Ergo, unless two people used finds on D'riss today (which clearly didn't happen as evidenced by the scenes), outing D'riss outs him.

Of course, at this point he's done nothing but finger D'riss as scum as a semi-train is building on Ruse. So it's really his word versus D'riss.

Well, we can try to figure out who is who, for one.

We can look at general scumminess, for two. D'riss and Omtose haven't really done anything to stand out. D'riss said Ruse was scum or the smoker a while ago. Omtose said, in his defense, that Ruse was not the smoking woman (then he posted a smoking emoticon, lol). Ruse said he's not the smoking woman and that he has only seen himself in one scene.

But I see this as a numbers game. Right now, I see essentially D'riss for the price of Ruse and Omtose. If Ruse isn't clearly the smoking lady, D'riss was lying and we wasted one lynch. If Ruse is the smoking lady, then D'riss is telling the truth which probably means Omtose is lying.

It seems to me more 'efficient' (if I can use that word) to test D'riss's case by lynching Ruse... and seriously only one scene? I really am think this is Omtose defending Ruse, especially after remembering the defense yesterday.

Here is one thing I see in Omtose's defense. If we subscribe to the 1 scum per team theory, The Chinese have already lost their syndicate... which would make Omtose PI if Korv is to be believed... It's a stretch, but I am trying to look at all sides here.

I agree that it's a good guideline, but only to determine the number of Syndicate... which would be 5. With 22 players, and lots of roles, I bet it's 6 Syndicate. And that means at least 1 team infiltrated twice. And I think it's just as likely that each team has one that some teams have none and others have multiple.

For the simply fact that only one action in that set of scenes looks like a find attempt and it clearly failed. Also you are not the japanese player with the fancy bug gadgets so it wasnt even you performing that find, and i don't wear orange.

Some of the abilities from last game updated retroactively so it is possible that omtose had the find on driss from an earlier round and the info just got updated once we reached level five. That seems to be what he is indicating.

edit-This should mean that he can point out scenes with driss, because even if he was in one today we can't assume it was him as he may have the updated find.
