Doesn't mean the guesses are right. There's no way I can apply a bunch of random guesses based upon limited Day 1 info to the reality.

Curious. How you ask a question (including my name) and then you say you've reached the same conclusion that theres not alot else to talk about. Then you said you were interested in the syndicate, but instead talk about the other factions. Somethings not adding up in your last few posts Mockra.
lol, something's not adding up in a day of spam and speculation? OK!
I talked about the other factions because I'm trying to guess how the Syndicate would fall within those factions. I think using the information about the VCs of the various nations helps me guess which nations you're likely to find syndicate in, or not in, or in multiple times.
How?
@Omtose, this question?
How does it help me guess? It just does. I think about VCs and try to figure out why one nation or another would be balanced if they had a scum member infiltrating them. In some cases, it may make sense, in others, maybe not. I already gave a few guesses.
I'm not making cases or claims about my guesses. They're simply guesswork--commentary to bring about discussion.
Fair enough.
here have some Police

It seems rather pointless trying to guess how many members in each faction are syndicate. We have very little point of reference toward starting numbers of either factions or scum and a number of players that doesnt divide equally anyway. Regarding levels, although the syndicate will no doubt gain more abilities to kill as they level up the earlier we push the level the more high powered spies will still be in play. It worked that wayin the last game anyway.
So do you want us to stop pushing levels?
Quite the opposite actually, but we need to balance our need for lynches and the gains we achieve through players dying against the knowledge that everyone is roled and we may accidently off someone who could be a major help at a later level. If the game is anything like the last, and we should assume it will be, there will be plenty of bullet proofs and guards around to neuter the actions of not only the syndicate, but the spies as well in the early game. Most of the abilities in the last game also worked retroactively as you levelled up, giving finders more detailed information and making guards or vigilantes able to ignore heals or blocks etc. Assuming players like kaschan continue 'talking' we will probably reach level two before the lynch. We could very well hit level four by close of play tomorrow game time if the posts rack up and we lynch both days. Out of twenty three players it is likely that one person will bite the bullet over night.

In response to the D'riss comment, the victory conditions really imply a faction working on its own and not with other people. I mean, you do need the other factions to help vote out the scum, but sparing someone from a lynch for some kind of future payment would be a bad play.
@HP, I'd say that bandying about the, "Hey this guy is suspicious," every 5 minutes is equally suspicious, but I agree that the comment from D'riss is a bit awkward.

Also, I think D'riss forgot we start at Level 0. His post confused me until I realized he thinks we're all Level 1 now.

I wouldn't say it's "aimed" at you, but I am kind of giving you a stern finger-waggling over your quick-to-judge approach.

Well, to be honest, I guess only certain acronyms can kill people.
AIDS, SARS, IRA... you know, things like that.
Still, it's best not to throw them around all willy-nilly. You can never be sure.
