Which isn't necessarily a link we should believe just because it seems convenient. D'riss could simply be taking his OWN original idea of accusing a low poster, and jumping on an opportunity created by Omtose. D'riss needed a quick story based on Omtose's reveal,. That "intercepted" pm could be his own PM. Furthermore, this claimed A=B is a link he could later claim "well that was where my mistake was, Omtose just made the wrong post at the wrong time" if Omtose were to CF non-scum.

Remember D'riss' clumsy switch from Ruse to Omtose? It didn't make sense to me at the time that D'riss would keep voting Ruse and had to be convinced to switch to Omtose.


Mockra said it when he called this one a possible recruit action, and this is why Omtose couldn't talk very much about the scene\

This is the problem with doing train of thought searching. I thought I was on a roll, but this post by Omtose crashes that party.

This is the only lover connection that made sense in terms of what Omtose is saying. That would make Omtose (at best) the chinese interpreter/secretary working for the old man. She is lovers with the scarred man, and wasn't opening up to his information until she confirmed it herself. It fits the fact we believe she is Chinese. And it fits Omtoses lover/info claim.

But why the hell would the secretary have an LP? And why would D'riss know about it then? (unless thats what the scene means by "making out with her")

I just managed to tie myself into a knot. If anyone can make sense of this in another manner, please do, but this looks like a dead end at the moment based on Omtose's own claim.

In the end, he staggered away, blood trailing him and pooling around his feet, mixing with that of the motor bike gangsters who had succumbed to his fury. he grit his teeth against the pain, but knew that the likely occurrence of events like this was why they had sent him, and not someone of a frailer constitution.

Omtose is the old man in the Mercedes, I am certain of that. His secretary was lovers with scarred man (you'll note the same man with the bullpup and combat knife). The secretary might be scum, and they're framing Omtose? Maybe.

Ok, in summary here's what I believe might be possible.

Omtose is able to monitor his secretary and knows about the lover. She's been feeding him the info from him. Then he poses as her rather than as the old man. Explains the LP.

Or Omtose is the chinese secretary, believes her non-chinese lover now because the old man was approached by the guy for some kind of deal. She learns the info about syndicate as well. But that makes the LP suspect.

D'riss coudl be that smooth guy in the scene meeting with the old guy.

In fact, Ruse could be the Chinese leader (old guy) and Omtose is the Secretary...

Really, the reasons we lynched (tried to) Omtose was the LP and the idea that the post outing D'riss was connected to the communication D'riss shared. This isn't necessarily good reasoning.

It really looks like it could be D'riss that is playing us, even if there are some holes in my scenario. I can see all kinds of different scenarios based on potential powers possessed by the scum.

I see what you're selling now Silanah. At first I was really wierded out by your inability to believe the obvious Omtose=Scum, and then I remembered this is Mafia.

If Omtose is Mercedes guy, that means the LP makes sense and he's likely the Chinese leader. But why was Omtose saying the lover connection was how he found it?

Heh, finally someone bites. Well, I dunno really. Are there any potential lover-connections with him previous to today? Because I think Omtose might have meant 'my lover told me today' rather than 'I got a lover today'. Because he does mention a level, Spite's idea about abilities retroactively updating has some merit.

Well the main problem I see with that is, that the intercept not only has a fake Find reveal, and the comments about the kill and the Lynch Proof.

So firstly the person we are refering to has to have a lynch proof and have done a fake Find reveal. The only person who we know has a lynch proof at the moment is Omtose, and Omtose has also on the same day done a find reveal on D'riss. So he fits both categories. We would need to go back to look to see if anyone else did find reveals on that day but if not, then it has to be Omtose.

Also I find Omtose's lovers Find reveal to be suspect - I highly doubt they would retroactively improve your finding abilities on people you have done finds on. Or is Omtose refering to something else? Omtose did a Find on his lover to make sure they are legit before revealing the infomation?

If that is the case, can Omtose's lover step forward and confirm?


Finally - in that last scene with the scarred man, D'riss said he had a new lover. So one of them is D'riss? Or was that a different day?

Imagine if it was Omtose and D'riss getting together... hmmmm.

But you are taking that communication as truth, and not as something that D'riss possibly concocted. He didn't reveal that communication right away, which struck me as interesting the first time I read it. If I had caught someone in that sort of trap, that would have been my first AHA! post.

Well not only from their lovers, but also from D'riss about why he didn't reveal that particular post straight away. In the last game was it the Americans who could tap into peoples conversations..? This whole situation has been twisted and gotten very murky at the moment. There's holes in everyone's stories, and a lot of infomation out there which maybe should revealed but I think everyone is too scared and is holding back. Hell even I have some info which might help a little (I think I know who D'riss is in the scenes).
