Errm...well there ARE allot of people.
And it IS allot easier to sit back and lurk while there are allot of people.

It seems people are extremely hung up on discussing factions rather than looking for scum and it really muddies the waters, for me at least, with all this talk of what faction has done what to get the points they have.
Some People are basing their votes solely on what the team scores are?...seriously?
Seems a bit counter productive since the point of the game is to find scum.
Getting points for your team should look after itself as you go along.

Its something that scum can confidently discuss and loook helpfull without hurting their own team.

That's a good point, but scum can just as easily point out non-scum and pretend to be pushing, so it's hardly cut and dried. That's what is challenging about this particular game - because it is faction you don't have the RI's to just push people around and try to see if they can figure out the puzzle from the reactions. When everyone has a faction, people are happier to lurk for fear of harming their faction or giving too much information away by mistake.

Nothing is ever cut and dry in mafia...:)

I think its time people stop worrying about keeping themselves alive and start more actively looking for scum because we could end up handing team scum the game simply because everyone is too shit scared to come out and play and potentially ruin it for their "team".

And if we have to lynch a few low poster to make it happen then so be it.

Silanah, are you feeling snarky because someone knocked your case? It definately looks like it took a fair amount of time and it has more to it than anything else so far, I'll give you that.

No, I'm just tired. Not even I think it's ironclad. Nevertheless, it's the most suspicious thing I've seen so far, and I tried to make sense of it.

The game is so convoluted i applaud you for even being able to make a case in the first place. Posted Image

I guess what im trying to say is that the while there are so many people.
We will always be getting a great amount of people voting all over the place.

One person can only really focus on so many players at a time....so while im looking at Galain and Mockra for instance, silanah is looking at rashan and shadow. times that by 20 players and you have a clusterfuck.

So i can see for a good few days we are going to struggle to get a great consensus on who to lynch.

So... i say unless there is a decent case, lets lynch the guys who dont contribute to finding scum.
The people who seem to focus more on factions and points rather than attempting to find scum.
Or the low laying guys we all forget even exist....serc anyone?...I dont remember a single post from him.
It will get them talking more if anything.

'who doesn't contribute to finding scum'= half the players from what I can remember lol. I do agree that considering how little scum-worthy actions we have, there would be a lot of people cruising in the mid-rangers. That's why I paid attention to Shadow speculating on obvious things and barely looking at scum targets 'because he didn't have anything'.

As I said yesterday, lynching off low posters is a low-outcome route generally. I would be looking at players who are more middle of the road, like Spite or Tellann.

well there is a fine line...you get low posters who have lots of content and you get high posters with mainly spam.

By low posters i mean...low content not actual post count...meh

Ok then, do you have any suspects, material to make a case, whatever?

Hmm...Tellan I sort of remember because he was on soon after the lynch. Spite I don't really remember at all. If we vote a low poster, I suggest Gamelon for no other reason than that alt is always scum...

I went back and tried to see if anyone really upped their posting after the Korv lynch. The most obvious was Galain, but he was rather forced to because of the argument with Shadow. GL made 13 posts or so, but I didn't really see any obvious cuddling up with Shadow. If anything, I got a Tellan/Galain vibe.

Speaking of other big posters who have disappeared. Kaschan hasn't done anything recently either.

Considering these scenes:

Quote

She curled up in the windowsill, enjoying the sun - 11 stories high. Within seconds, she was asleep.
...
She looked over the bonnet at the sleek, low, black machine. This would be a pleasure to drive. too bad she was tied up, bound and gagged and thrown on the roof of the 911, and the cleaning crew was expected to arrive only late in the evening.

I would imagine they've both been shut up for the day. :)

Ahh. Posted Image

I wonder if there is a connection between two top posters being silenced and the double level-up we experienced?

Can't see a logical way for that to follow, but it's a possibility I guess...

Well, I was just trying to think of what silencing might do as an advantage for that silencing role.

Stopping people from taking abilities? The first one almost seems like whoever it is is preparing for something (kinda like the Great One a'chargin' their lazers in the Night Watch game), and the other seems like they won't be able to post (and presumably take any actions) until the end of tonight.

Well I am all caught up on today's action.

With all the investigations that have taken place, I have to wonder if anybody has found some scum, and are not revealing it. Revealing in this game is far different than a normal game. You won't be nailed as the only finder.

So if some one has hit pay dirt fess up and let us lynch scum today.

No I can't do finds/investigations. :)

yea there is that.

A finder might think keeping the goods for a little later might be better if his team is behind.

I get the feeling allot of people are perhaps playing more for night actions. Relying heavily on NA's to come up with targets the next day.
And Not really looking too hard at what is happening on thread because its just too much work to keep track of everything.

Like a japanese player for instance knows someone is not on his side if he does not form a lover bond if he targets him.
So then that person will not give a damn if he gets lynched or not.
Im not too sure thats the correct way to play.
Just because someone is not on your team does not mean you should automatically gun for him.

With this many people, and with the spamfest we had to gain levels, it is very hard to pin down anyone at this point. That may just be me though. I don't have a lot of time during the day to spend making cases. The Shadow case is interesting, but it applies to almost everybody. So I will hold my vote until later.

If it comes down to it I will add my vote get a lynch.
