@Shadow, Maybe. But I kind of agree with Tellan's other point... it could have been a way to try and end the day before a bunch of people got their votes or actions in.

That's not a big fright, though, as people can (and surely would) send in night actions anytime throughout the day prior, and there was only a few hours left in the day. The only factor I see making it worthwhile in that regard is that we had only recently reached 1000 posts, but even then people would have expected that we would and sent in level 2 actions in anticpation of that anyways.

@Shadow, maybe, it's still something to at least consider.

I think we have to figure out today if we want to spam toward Level 4 or not. I think it's highly unlikely someone has an ability that just flat raised everyone's level, but if that were somehow the case, a spam-filled day and a lynch would mean we're all Level 5 tonight.

For the love of god, end of day is when I'm out the house, with no access to the web.

Someone said let's lynch off the low posters ok I'm in that category, but in this game new abilities are gained as this game goes on.

Have you considered that the guys who are spamming heavily on day 1 and 2 are guys who want to get to level 5 as soon as possible as they get a powerful ability.

Sure lynch off the low posters but don't entirely ignore the heavy posters.

I'm pretty sure most people said that a higher-level, large-sized town was stronger than a higher-level large-sized scum. But I do think that the suddenly jump to 3 probably indicates we need to reconsider jumping straight to 4-5.

But hey, since you're here, any commentary on your mystery vote?

Ok this post seriously screams of "dont lynch me!" he does have a point though that the spammers are likely to be doing it to go for good abilities but we cant really read much into that i dont think since theres likely to be good abilities for both innos and scum at higher levels.

Look at the post count there is:
Mockra at159
Kaschan 135
Silanah 117

The fourth highest posting player is Galayn Lord at 47 posts.

I mean I just read what was like 7 or more pages of spam about herpes and so forth. How many of those posts of the top three posters are really useful posts and not just spam. In 2 days I could not come up with a 100 posts that are actually worth the amount of time and webspace that they use for a game of mafia. I'll be lucky to make 10 posts of that quality where I'm arguing a case and so forth in the current circumstances.

If those posts aren't spam how much spare time do you guys have to post over a 100 serious posts in 2 game days?

Hey, I've condemned the useless spam, too. I think you'll find my posts have probably had more content and discussion than just about everyone.

I want to level as much as the next guy and, yes, I really do have a lot of free time to help make that happen. It's not a crime to want to level. Everyone has abilities that will help their team win.

About my mysterios vote, a fake vote comes to mind.

User submits player a name.
User votes player b
Player a vote automatically goes on to playe b is the way I see it.

It a good ability to use to force lynches to go through or stop them, so it could be an ability that is used by the smallest team, as you could use it to derail lynches.

I would assume that the faked vote is randomly inserted at the end of the vote so as to hide who used the ability.

Mockra I'm not saying it a crime, but considering how most of my time has been spent either out of my house and off the web, I get back and I have dinner, washing, companies to research before I send cv's to, and if I'm lucky I may have a couple of hours to spare to do this. There is no way I could cover a 1000 posts and do a detailed case based on it.

Life has been hectic but I got the house to my self for the week which is a bit of a bitch, hopefully my girlfriend will be over for the weekend.

Yes going up levels is not bad but just the sheer level of postage by some players make me wonder what goodies they get. I'm remembering the baddie in the last game at level 5 he got drive by shootings and so forth, before that he was pretty much sitting on his arse alll game.

I have to agree with meanas here. We might not want to push the level threshold right away.

No matter, I've got to run. I've been sitting here too long as it is.

In the last game, Bent got a single-usage Day-Kill at Level 3.

And really, if I didn't post so much, someone else probably would. You probably should be glad there's a few pages in the thread with garbage posts because it's actually easier for you to catch up on 10+ pages at a time if you can just skim them. If every post was full of insightful commentary, you'd have a hard time catching up wading through the vast amount of cases and theories.

I already agreed with that. It's a thread decision to make. I'm not entirely sure we want to push it today since we did get an early/free level.

The game that I saw that nearly had 100% game related posts was the LOTR game and that was due to spam being LOTR and it got people thinking about the game lol. And it had over 2000 posts.

Well, I come back to a very interesting lynch vote.

P-S hasn't corrected himself about the vote count, and it seems like important information if it's a mistake or not, so I'm inclined to believe someone has a double-vote, most likely the last person to vote or the hidden/forced votes.

And on that point, it looked like both of the other votes were forced from the scenes. Meanas seems to have some other explanation, but he may not have even been informed that his vote was forced, so I don't know about that.

Either way, it looks like we need to be careful about bringing people close to a lynch with all these secret hidden super hammers.

What I'm trying to get at is with 2000 posts most games are won based on a small number posts. Like a finder reveals the killers, or a player ratio of spam verses play content is too high and is thus revealed. The scum is drunk and reveals all in the game.

Last game where pb edited that post, just that entire incident alone pointed out one of the killers apart from pb.

I mean there very few games where you need every post to work out what going on. Maybe that because we do have a healthy posting rate. But it can be a bitch for reading up cause when you see a thousand posts you start skim reading so much you may miss one or two crucial posts hidden amongst the spam.

I wasn't informed about my vote being forced.

Day 3.
PLEASE NOTE: NONE OF THE CHARACTERS IN THIS STORY ARE ROLES

Telephone conversation between the person known as Codename S, MI6, and her secretary, Codename Stylo, as recorded by MI6.

STYLO: “Milady, the Electronics Division completed its initial research on this Hitaki Furumaro. He was a middling marketing expert, technician. His division of Matsushita was involved in the contruction of the casing for Project Orpheus. Its offices are in Kyoto.”

S: “Warn our partners. Also, inform our field operatives, regardless of nationality. If asked, secure transportation for them. Any other leads ED came up with?”

STYLO: “It is their suspicion that this casing is of interest to Marichord because its specifics will provide a few outlines of project Orpheus. Once its dimensions and power consumption are known, Marichord can narrow down the number of possible locations for Project Orpheus.”

S: “You mean they do not know yet?”

STYLO: “ED believes they don’t. What’s more, our contacts in the US and in Japan indicate albeit with some hesitation, that neither the Japanese secret service nor the various American services are aware of its exact location. Whether this is a clearance issue or general unawareness, is as of yet unknown.”

S: “Now that is a bit of good news.”

The black haired woman in the Rei Kawakubo outfit stepped close to the ambassador. "Sir, you're expected to make a statement concerning all the recent upheavals in Tokyo, and the involvement of foreign intelligence."
"Hmm, yes. So what should I say?"
"Sources indicate that out of those who are seemingly involved, it is the Europeans who are ahead of the game. Maybe mention that?"
"Yes, let Brussels worry about it."

If the game was to end right now, the Europeans would win.

She curled up in the windowsill, enjoying the sun - 11 stories high. Within seconds, she was asleep.

~~

She made careful piles of the shirts, socks and trousers of the man whose room she was raiding. Nothing. Then, she noticed a chess piece on the night stand. A rook. From there, the clues were easy to follow - who he was, what he did. A smile broke through her hard features. Within a minute, the room was as it had been before.

~~

"Ohh, good morning."
"Oooh, what a delight. You look gorgeous," the elder man said, wolfing down copious amounts of bacon.
"Thank you."
"Anything to eat?"
"Never in the mornings," she smiled apologetically. "Have got to watch the figure. But an orange juice would be nice."
"Sure!" he beckoned the waiter, then leaned back. "So, why did you seek me out? Surely there is somethign I can do for you?"
"Yes. I was wondering if you would go shopping with me. You see, I feel lost here, and it would be good to have someone with such world experience with me."
He couldn't say no, and had to cancel his appointment with another.

~~

"Don't just stand there!" she spat at the lackey. "Gather the men. We have to pay someone a visit." He ran. "But first," she said, "I need a cigarette."

A new alt joins the game: Barghast.

~~

She looked over the bonnet at the sleek, low, black machine. This would be a pleasure to drive. too bad she was tied up, bound and gagged and thrown on the roof of the 911, and the cleaning crew was expected to arrive only late in the evening.

This game should be called Lost. As in I have no fucking clue what to make from end of day/night/new alt.

I love it!
