Nice to see that you guys have managed to play nice while I was away. :bs:

Lots of WIFOM being tossed into the thread. I am sure that the scum are feeling pretty good about themselves. So with the clock winding down the first order of business is to remove some of the WIFOM from the game. With that in mind I say we lynch HP. If he is a killer and one of the (Eloth, Barghast, Korbas) bunch was his symp then great. If not we can at least remove the WIFOM that he is creating. It is possible that he is a symp but highly doubtful as masters don't follow symps. With everything currently going on in the game revolving around HP nothing else is really able to be pointed out. If he isn't scum then right now scum are doing a good job of focusing the attention on to him and off of themselves.

So you did get what i was saying but decided to strawman me anyways....nice.

I didn't decide to strawman you, I just wanted to dig more into your reasonings, thats all.
Plus you seemed to be the only one alive here, at that time, and I was semi bored, weaving e-peens around is a mighty entertaining way to pass the time.

Gotta go for a couple of hours, will be back with enough time before lynch, to cross e-peens with you D'riss, if we go down that way- 4 hours remaining though, and votes speading too thin again- we will need people online to avoid last days occurances and hopefully come to better conclusions about things- trains to analyse etc etc

no no no

you took something i said out of a bigger context (I was talking about the merit/likelihood of the other possibilities that HP ignored)
and then you took a peace and made it look like i would for some reason, as a symp state on thread that i KNOW that the killer were online becasue i KNOW who the killer is.

All this after i have voted for you and pointed out how flustered i think your response to my initial post was
Sorry thats not digging...thats flat out strawmanning my post to look like something that might discredit me, the person pointing fingers at yourself.

edit- said the same thing twice in a sentence....confusing . bloody office staff distracting me :bs:

Good morning. I see we're still talking things over.

I have to rush to a Dr's appointment, so I will not be on for a little while, but the lynch times out at 10:26 my time, which should give me enough time to get back before it expires.

@D'riss, I did definitely consider that someone may just have not changed their action in time, but I think if someone had time to VOTE they had time to change their action. Mockra and Fener were definitely the late-comers, so it's not unheard of that they didn't get a change in (Fener more than Mockra). But if you're going to chastise me for "meta" discussion, then there's really no point in arguing who could have changed their action, huh?

Gotta go now. Be back later.

So you admit to considering it....yet you decided to ignore it?
Thats even worse.

Im not arguing over who could have changed their actions...YOU brought it up..and neglected to mention the other possibilities.
Im not using any meta as an argument...im using your LACK of mentioning other possibilities as an argument.
Wy dont you people get what im saying?

I get what your saying and I think that if we have some smart scum then they made a good move in nking Barghast. Look at how you all are going. This is why people ignore NK and don't talk about why a player was killed that night. The only true way to see any pattern in nk's is after a couple have happened. Till then all it does is create a ton of WIFOM talk. Just like what is happening.

Barghast might have been killed for meta reasons or just because scum is lazy. Seriously at this point in the game, after one nk coming up with a ton of different scenarios just creates WIFOM that scum get to hide behind.

Whats are your thoughts on Korbas?
He could also be a killer that just jumped onto a vote you know.

It doesnt HAVE to be HP as the killer and one of the others was a symp and followed.

Galain, you raise some good points. If the kill on barghast is a an attempt to frame D'riss/Korbas, then HP does look very suspicious. Going on about wanting to lynch Bargy before he comes up as dead, would fit right into the ploy too.

Given Korbas's random posting and lack of defense, plus HP's initial, faulty claim of Korbas being PI and his continued semi-defense of him, I'm pretty happy with my vote.

I'm beginning to be suspicious if you, Ampelas. So, somehow random posting makes me suspicious? Could you please elaborate on why?

Also, let's say I'm a master and HP is a symp, or HP a master and I'm a symp. Why would I vote to lynch HP?

It's suspiscious because I started a case against you and your reaction to it was to talk about burgers and pretend like you're not under any pressure. It just doesnt feel right, like you're trying to avoid the subject in the hope it will go away, rather than address it and risk splipping up.

You'd vote HP because he's not you? You'd vote HP so you can ask why you would vote HP? That's a very WIFOM question and not really something you can use in your defense.

I already gave my reasons for doing it, as lackluster as they were. I already addressed it, stated I had poor reasons for voting to lynch Galain. How is that avoiding the subject? It seems like you're just conviniently avoiding the posts where I said that.

And there was an argument about how HP could be master or a symp with me being master earlier - so, my question is, if I'm a symp/master why would I vote for my master/a symp to be lynched? Just doesn't make sense.

Anyway, had a quick 10 minute break, I'll hopefully be back in about 2 hours after lunch.

I don't know about Korbas. But what I do know is that even if HP isn't scum he is causing to much WIFOM to keep around.

The timing of the votes was such that it would have had to have been a quick fire symp to have followed Korbas like that. All three of the votes were a bare 3 minutes apart. From Korbas's to Eloths. Suspicious yes but nothing more then that. All Korbas's vote to me means is that he should be watched. But then I am suspicious of everyone and think that you all need to be watched. :bs:

If you are a killer you would not know if HP is your symp or not.
I agree with you that If HP is your master you would not be throwing a vote on him.
But if you both are killers you could throw a vote on him to distance.

so there are a few reasons why you would vote HP and can still even both be scum.
Im not too sure what you two are arguing about really!

Seems kind of risky for me to keep a vote on HP if I'm scum and there's a chance he is too, as we only need two more votes to lynch him. What I'm praying is that he actually is scum - if it turns out he's inno then that puts me in a very bad position, with me as a likely candidate for the next lynching (if of course I don't get lynched today).

The argument with Ampelas was because he didn't think I gave any reason for voting to lynch Galain, which is true at the time I voted. I did, however, state my reasons (if they can be called that) later last night. I'm not trying to claim my vote wasn't suspicious, but saying I'm simply trying to dodge the subject simply isn't true.

Anyway, got back early, should be around for awhile now.

Even if I had some kind of grand reveal right now, you'd probably say that I'm only revealing to save my scum butt.

But I'm a lowly spud, nothing more. So keep on chirping... I know why this caged bird sings :bs:

Man, D'riss and Mockra certainly did explode there. Funny how hard it is to lynch HP, especially when pretty much every player logging in start by saying how suspicious HP is.

I agree with D'riss to an extent about Mockra, but I do feel a bit uncomfortable with just how hysterical D'riss seemed to get too. It's telling, I think, how these two so thoroughly pulled attention away from HP who at the time was the most likely lynch.

I'm definitely not changing my vote at this time.

Mind you, what happened to Osseric?

I already quoted Osseric on that one. He has now twice disappeared and shown up just in time to lynch. Both times were announced, but that's pretty dodgy to do that. Just like D'riss has again disappeared "for the day." Bad timing with 24 hour days and his time zone? Probably, but still pretty dicey.

Here's the reality of the situation.

Ampelas, Fener, and Liosan seem devoid of any real suspicion. Ergo, at least one of them is scum.

One of Osseric or D'riss is another scum, but not both.

Korbas is almost certainly innocent and will probably pay for his behavior in regards to me after I am lynched.

Mockra and Galain are complete wild cards to me. I'm less sure of Galain than I was, but his laser focus on me is extremely poor play if he is a member of the town. Town should NOT be so focused on a single target. That is just as bad as a "WIFOM" player, like myself (stated by Fener). Mockra I have literally zero read on.

To be honest, I voted for you because of HP's comment about you being PI more than anything else, my suspicions from yesterday and you being one of the two who weren't online at the lynch yesterday was just icing on the cake. To be honest, I didnt think it was a particularly strong case, I did it mainly to see the reaction to it. Yes, you did explain why you weren't here yesterday, and why you voted Galain. However, you pretty much ignored the fact that I had a case on you. Instead you fluffed around and threw your vote onto the HP train. That combined with HP's continued semi-defense of you, now makes me think I've hit onto something.

Now that you are sortof responding to me specifically, your defense is pure WIFOM. There are plenty of reasons a killer would vote for his symp, to derail a train growing on him is a pretty good one. As I said earlier, Galain made some good points in his case and after yesterday, HP is a pretty good suspect for a lynch. So putting your vote on him is a good move, even if he is your symp, since it grows a train that isnt on you.

I will be willing to switch my vote onto HP if needed for a lynch, but I do believe will be hitting a symp.

"Laser focus" as you say, is only a valid description if I'd gone for you void of arguments and without examining other players. Neither of which fits me. Not to mention that WIFOM play it certainly is not and I'd love for you to try to argue against that with more than just a single sentence statement that there's WIFOM to be found.

I wanted to have you lynched day 1 for the reasons I stated then, but in the end that was not successful and we turned on Eloth. I made a case on you today -and I'd argue that it's the only case around at this point- and stand by that especially in light of the later events of this thread. You're welcome to try and belittle the arguments I've used against you, thus far you've shown yourself quite inept at responding to the accusations thrown your way so I guess it's the only way for you to attempt a defense.

Ampelas, you have to know how bad your case is. If Korbas and I were really tied together in some way, do you really think I would PI him on day 2 and then continue to indicate how the facts lean toward his innocence? That's absolute nonsense and you aren't doing yourself any favors by pushing it.

If you are voting Korbas right now, IMO, it means you think he wasn't online to change a night kill. It also means you probably think his symp is still alive. It shouldn't mean anything to do with me, because that is seriously bad logic.
