A few questions...
1. Fiddler draws out three Unaligned - Crown, Sceptre, Orb - during the game with the Deck and says they are "three friends [of Grub's] living in the caves in the cliff". I never worked out who the three friends were. I was thinking the T'lan Imass who reclaimed his/her sword from Stormy was one of them, but which card did they represent? And what about the other two?

2. Also, Fiddler makes an oblique suggestion that interrupting him affects the game somehow, possibly in favour of the person who interrupted him. This happens twice:

'Apsalar's got Assassin of High House Shadow, oh, isn't that a surprise. It's the only card she gets-'
'You mean I win?' she asked, one brow lifted sardonically.
'And lose too. Nice move, interrupting me like that, you're catching on. Now nobody else say a damned thing unless you want to up the ante...'

And shortly after:

'...Now T'amber, she's opened the game with that card. Throne, and it's shifting every which way. The pivot card, then-'
'What's a pivot card?' Bottle asked, finally sitting down.
'Bastard - knew I couldn't trust you. It's the hinge, of course. Finish that wine - you got to drink rum now. You're a sharp one, ain't you?'

So what did interrupting Fiddler achieve? A less disastrous outcome for the person?

3. What exactly was Oponn up to at the end? Were they responsible for the Mockra-induced battle lust affecting the citizenry?

I don't know the answers to 1 and 2, or even 3 very specifically....but without giving too much away, yet this does point to a spoiler so if you're super sensitive don't read on....
There's something unique and kinda neat about Mockra that's not revealed till Reaper's Gale.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Ad 2 - I always saw it as Fiddler´s specific style of deck reading. Frenetical flowing move of ideas and making instant rules to reflect forces being spinned by his reading. And also Fid being "spinned" by deck itself. From my POV he reads deck as action of moment, not some Tattersail or Tissera style.

I mean - Fiddlers rules = no rules, just some reflex making whole thing work.

Being optimistic´s worthless if it means ignoring the suffering of this world. Worse than worthless. It´s bloody evil.

3- No that was the Claw. It's said in the book that they use Mockra to turn the population against the Wickan and the 14th.

1 is the three Nachts.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

As far as anyone can tell they were just planning to screw around with chance throughout the convergence, as is their wont.

But upon casting the knuckles they see something they don't like and the narration repeats Paran's motto. Take from that what you will (ie: was ST telling Obo Paran's sword coming back at them since GotM?), but the key is that they were blocked from interfering in that convergence.

I kinda love it when D'rek unleashes her nerd wrath, as I knew she would here. Sorry innocent bystanders, but someone's gotta be the kindling.

Hmmm, my understanding of it was that Oponn did meddle in some way, thus Shadowthrone making Obo attack them.

Well yeah, before Obo blasted them they may have meddled but there's no way we'd know how or what because it's just chance after all and we don't know what they impacted.

2. Interupting the game seems to me that either the players are concious of the game around them (ie, the gods included in the convergence) and are taking note of the rules. Apsalar, when she bothered to interupt the game, got what she wanted and got to get out of it. she was assassin of shadow and she got to stay alone.

3. I think oponn was angry because they were blocked from interfearing by paran himself, because he is the master ofthe deck and hates them >.< Shadowthrone just got them attacked because it made himhappy.
faith is a belief beyond belief, a reason beyond reasoning, the strongest strength, the purest love. it is the single driving force beyond contestation, it starts before understanding and finally, ends on the tomorrow ever coming.
