You can never reveal your faction on-thread, or exclude yourself from (all) other factions, like:
"I'm Russian," or "I'm not American, Chinese, European, Japanese or scum" - whether you do that in one post, or in five different ones.
You can never reveal the wording, timing or specifics of one or more of your own abilities on thread (not even in group communication through H&M), either. Saying "I've got two different finds" "three neutral abilities" or "a day heal" is not allowed either.
Nor are you allowed to say who you targeted or when, just that you know something about them, and what this is.
"You were guarded last night" is allowed, but saying: "I guarded you last night" isn't.
An ambiguous statement like "I'm mostly neutral" is far less ambiguous than it may seem, too. I'm more or less willing to allow this in the course of the game, but I will not have this on day 1 day 2 or day 3 and will deal out physical justice if someone breaks this rule, likewise, if I see a shitstorm of people doing this the first time they log on on day 4.
The victory conditions (see OP) are stated in such a way that saying "I've got mostly active neutral powers" will likely narrow your allegiance down from 5 to 2 factions. Given that factions aren't equal in number, this will outline some factions far too quickly, where I want to allow room for plenty of deceit and lying.
All factions have the tools in their roles to achieve their victory goals. For most factions, this involves targeting a member of every other faction in the game once. Identifying one another blatantly on thread will make this far too easy, also because the effects and impact of each action varies wildly (compare the Chinese 2 point condition with the American one, for example).
Simply put: ask the mod if you want to reveal something and you are not sure whether or not it is allowed. Do know that you are at any time at liberty to give information on thread about another player, no matter how detailed that info is.
