Your last statement about not defending allegations that you know are wrong, is just an excuse for you not to talk anymore so that you don't fuck up anymore.

How could he be sure that we wouldn't go for Alkend , it is very likely that we would have lynched him to wipe out the very slim chance that he was killer.
The reason why you voted Alkend is that you needed to get a new lynch in place before anyone else voted for you.
You could have spent over the next 20 hours when you can searching for any other clue to who the killer may be apart for Alkend or up until you about to be lynched and reveal your findings of your search. Your actions scream like your preserving your life, it only to the benefit of scum to stay alive as long as possible. While for innos all that matters is enough information is found to nail the scum.

Case against Galain:
This morning I spent some time going through the game in my head. Typically I would be pretty certain in my suspicions at this point, I'm rarely anything if not decisive playing this game, but this time around I've struggled to get a good read of what's going on. My heart might not be entirely in it all told, but I'll be damned if I'm going to be just a boost to the number of innos.
So, I went through the players in my head, trying to pinpoint anything that I remembered standing out. There were some things, Sorrit stepping out after the pressure on him before Liosan caught Spite for one, Karosis' careful play also stood out. Though a liability to the scum team in many ways, having each symp only know one of the killers (as I suggest to explain Kesso's play) makes finding them through interactions with others much harder.
It was going through the players that I realised I lacked one. I didn't remember which one until I got back earlier and saw Galain's name on the list. That's what prompted me to do a re-read of his posts.
This post made me stop up a little. Certainly not particularly incriminating on its own. The go either way thing is relatively bland, but his last sentence did catch my eye. I have only ever had one PI this game and that was Liosan following the mods mistaken cf. I don't believe a single RI claim and it would seem to me that any rational inno wouldn't either. My immediate reaction reading this was that Galain was fishing for an ally.
Galain didn't say anything interesting for the rest of the day, but to be fair, neither did anyone else. Alkend failed quite spectacularly to be lynched and then we got Liosan's reveal.
Now, Spite is good on the way to being lynched and HP talk about Galain (who has not yet posted since the previous day).
That's all it takes for Galain to turn up but 5 minutes later.
Not particularly noticeable a response all in all. A little OMGUS accusation and that's it. He follows up with two sentences to cover the entire day which certainly has been more than a little eventful:
The discussion moves on to other possible suspects. Galain makes his opinions known with gusto and insightful reasoning:
This is Galain's only post of that day which was anything more than a sentence long assertion:
Interesting though his thoughts are, he picked a subject utterly devoid of connection to any individual player. There is nothing here that draws attention at all. No alt, no accusation, no nothing.
After that there's no more posts of Galain until 12 hours later, some time after the hammer on Spite:
His opinion here is equally uncontroversial. He points out the obvious inconsistencies of Gamelon's claim (which were at the time obvious to everyone I am quite sure) but refrains from mentioning anything that might garner him some attention.
Then follows the absurdly long wait for a resolve. We get three CF's. Galain pops up a little later with this post:
Again not a single mention of a living alt or anything else that might actually be challenged, or for that matter even quoted.
He follows up with this:
No really? Forcefull though this may seem at first glance, he's actually not saying a damned thing.
Galain then goes on to post a case on Gamelon. I'm not going to quote the thing here, it's post #836. This could on the surface be seen as some active participation, a real opinion piece, but really? Gamelon was pretty much an assured lynch at this point. His patchy reveal made little sense and Spite had just come up guilty. Galain made one attack on another player and he chose the assumed symp and obvious lynch candidate.
Then follows some back and forth between Korvalain, HP and Galain. They all seem to agree that they should lynch Gamelon and there's nothing particularly interesting going on between them. HP then posts a case against Korvalain, and Galain responds with this:
This is about as non-comitting as you can be without being called out on it. This I believe is also the first time he actually comments on another player who's not on the choping-block, between my first quoted post and this.
… And that's it. That's all of even remote interest that I could find Galain posting. I see all this and I am confident that I've tracked down the other killer. Consider the quotes above you and I think you will reach the same conclusions that I have. Galain is sneaking under the radar to such an extent it has to be intentional. I cannot believe anyone could play with such a lack of opinions about the other players. No, this is a tactic to go unnoticed and for a while it worked very well indeed. How often have Galain even been mentioned outside of a passing reference?

Although I can't find anything specific to put my finger on, I'm not entirely convinced by the Korvalain case. After Galain my main suspect at this point would be Alkend partially because of playing style and partially because of how we failed to lynch him even though at the time he was the only likely option for a lynch.

Another thing though, If Game really was a symp... would he really just throw a random name out there to save his master...knowing the other scum is his key to winning ( Spite was going to die regardless.) Maybe he would....
Yeah, Galain is an enigma to me. Not sure I can really argue with your case... because there is really not much to go on. I would be ok with a Galain lynch, but I get more of a scum vibe from Korv, especially with his latest reaction to pressure. "I'm not talking about this anymore" really doesn't look good.

Yeah, this is the sticking point for me with Alkend. If each symp only knows their master, I am much more wary of Alkend, especially seeing as it was so hard to lynch him.

Alkend- I think he is being caught up in the Fray. If you believe gamelon is a symp (which I do) then it's hard to find ways for Alkend to be scum. DKT is a crafty bastard.. but throwing the remaining scum under the bus like that is too ballsy, if we had decided to swap votes to Alkend instead of spite..and alkend still came up scum... well we might PI Gamelon.. but we would still be going after Spite based on Losan's info. I don't think Alkend is scum.

Galain- Cool as a cucumber. says his piece, then kinda just fades away. Not sure on him at this point. He has said multiple times he thinks I am inno, which makes me feel warm and Fuzzy... but only scum know that for sure I am not sure where I stand on him. I really could go either way. There just isn't a lot to go on here.

I've stated before that Kesso's actions would imply they only knew one each, do you disagree with that?
In regards to Galain it would seem we at least partially agree.

Another thing though, If Game really was a symp... would he really just throw a random name out there to save his master...knowing the other scum is his key to winning ( Spite was going to die regardless.) Yeah, Galain is an enigma to me. Not sure I can really argue with your case... because there is really not much to go on. I would be ok with a Galain lynch, but I get more of a scum vibe from Korv, especially with his latest reaction to pressure. "I'm not talking about this anymore" really doesn't look good.
If Kesso was a symp (as seems very likely) who knew the identity of both killers; why would he have speculated about me being Omtose or your symp considering that Omtose was inno?
As for throwing a random name out there, Alkend seemed the only possibly lynch outside of Spite considering the day before. I would imagine he considered it worth the risk.

... Alkend had almost been lynched the day before. He was Gamelon's best chance of a lynch other than Spite. A slim chance yes, but at the time his only one I think.

ok, caught up.
we had a few cases, my name keeps coming up. I really dunno what to say about Game's CF--just cuz he's a General doesn't mean he can't be a symp, no?
as for the current cases:
I'm not too sure about Korv. He's using me to change the topic, but at the same time, he brought up the case against me in the first place, and he could just be trying to be consistent. I respect that.
Galain, otoh, has been pinging my radar all game long, but I can't put my finger on quite why.
I'd like to hear him say something before I vote though.
I'll still be around in the morning, and i'll vote then
I suppose I shpould say something about that case on me.... but since it was based on the old case of low-posting (which was due to RL, and which I have tried to rectify) and being pointed at repeatedly by Gamelon (which I can't really defend against), I'll let others make the choice for themselves.

Thats a pretty good case by Korbas. It stands to reason that when anyone has leveled so few accusations at any particular player, you gotta believe it could be deliberate. I want to hear what he has to say for himself. I still get a greater scum vibe out of Korv though, and since it was my case to begin with, i should put my vote where my mouth is.
