As thing look now, we're not getting anywhere near a legitimate lynch today. I wish though to draw attention to these three (I'll reserve judgment on those who've actually yet to post as they might have some problem getting on that we don't know about):

Anomandaris 1 Tulas Shorn 1 Sukul Ankhadu 1
Now, Anomandaris was the very first player to post and has since failed to show his pretty face in thread. Meaning he's been away for close to 20 hours. That's pretty low. Tulas Shorn and Sukul Ankhadu came in later, yet there was hardly content to be found so I'm not surprised there was no comments to be had. Still, 1 post in 20 hours of game is absurd.

Furthermore, I can easily see scum being afraid of posting anything this early. As the thread is now, anything and everything could be construed as a reason for a lynch train to build.

Indeed, and further to this perhaps it is worth taking note of the contents of such posts as have been written up this board.

There are but a few who have indeed posted such contents as one may find relevant to the actual game itself. Their number is but limited to Karosis, Sorrit, Korbas, Hood's Path, Driss and arguably Kessobahn.

Perusing the listings of those who have posted anything at all within this thread reveals the following number of posts:

Number of posts:
D'riss 12
Barghast 12
Hood's Path 11
Gamelon 11
Path-Shaper 10
Kessobahn 8
Korbas 7
Liosan 6
Sorrit 6
Karosis 5
Karatallid 5
Galain 4
Spite 3
Eloth 3
Ampelas 2
Anomandaris 2
Kaschan 2 (now 3)
Korvalain 2
Tulas Shorn 1
Sukul Ankhadu 1
Alkend 1

Given that there are a number who seem to have posted often, but have indeed posted nothing at all, I do proclaim that some of those we endeavour to unmask lie within those ranks. It is not uncommon for such evildoers as we seek to mask their actual lack of participation beneath the veil of a higher post count. As such, I find Barghast and Gamelon most suspicious, while Liosan, Karatallid and perhaps even Galain bear watching in the future.

As little time does remain, and such is the only of those I mentioned with a vote upon them:
Vote Barghast

tsk-tsk

I have at least three four posts now

not my fault D'rek forgot I was supposed to play, and only responded to my query aksing for an alt AFTER i've gone to work...

I forgot nothing!

I'm *not* going to be here when day times out. If you're lucky someone may swing by SH and resolve for you, but more likely you'll have to wait a bit. I'll try and give you guys the resolution over breakfast tomorrow morning (in about 7.5 hours), but no promises - I've got another exam tomorrow morning :D

Kaschan, so you basically added another vote to Barghast for being the top poster. Did I summarize that correctly?

I'm back and around, will go catch up what I missed. Although do we now have 21 players?

I do find such defensiveness odd as I had made no mention of low posters being suspicious in mine own post nor voted for one. Perhaps you have something to hide?

Well, at least we reached some serious posts within the last few hours.

Honestly, there isn't much to go on. This is the only thing that stood out to me, along with the fact that Alkend doesn't really mind just upping his post count while adding nothing substantive, despite the obvious switch to serious business.

However, that could be me being irritated at absolutely nothing really getting accomplished so far.

oh wow, this IS an exciting new low, spam-wise.

I must, of course pint out, that Dragons being a LIZARD offshoot, therefore, reptilian, therefore not mammals, would have no need for tits.

of course, if we consider Eleint Gods to be different (and they probably are, since, hey, they give birth to humanoids and whatnot) from your run of the mill dragon, the question gains additional validity. Not to mention that we're in a China-based game, and Chinese Dragons were kinda different from their Western European counterparts...

nonetheless, the topic disgusts me.

also, on a more game-related note: if we get a modkill, it might make sense not to lynch. I need to do a re-read to see if I can spot anyhting vote-worthy at this point.

and since i'm likely gonna pass out of exhaustion soon (work was a bitch), I dunno how likely that is to happen.

Secondly, these sort of underlined statements drive me nuts.

Vote Alkend.

No, I voted for Barghast as they were the highest poster who had made no contribution to the game itself. Although tied for the highest poster he has made a sum total of zero useful posts.

Well nice to see we are getting serious now, I've browsed back through the thread but there's nothing there which is vote worthy for me even for Day 1.

Basically its down to voting for someone for posting lots of nothing, or posting nothing and really I don't think there's a huge amount of point at the moment.

I kinda have to agree with Alkend, we're already losing one to a Modkill we've got nothing to go on at the moment, so unless something more solid comes up I don't think its worth a vote.

And how do you propose something more solid comes up?

Galain's idea of "solid" appears to be "find" any Day 1 statement that disagrees with the Day 1 Bible of Mafia.

@ Kas: I was trying to make a joke about how you missed my posts because you were writing that monster of a "case". Apparently, I was too subtle, *shrug*

anyhow, I need to go to bed, for reals.

before I go vote Galain

for getting pushy in the last few hours before the lynch and making a big deal out of nothing. and yeah, yeah, OMGUS, and whatnot.

I'm really going to bed now. see y'all in about 7 hours.

Well with 2 or so hours to go, unless someone spots a slip that I missed which I doubt since there's not much in content yet there's not too many other options.

I was hoping there'd be more people on closer to the lynch time as that tends to be when a lot of action happens and something might come up then, but today its looking all quiet. Guess its a time zone thing.

Big deal?

I laid one vote on you.

@Spite:
Perhaps it had to do with the start time.

Ahh, well, I suppose I see where you're coming from, but IMO it's easier for a player to show up late (like you) and add content by analyzing the early posters than it is for an early poster to suddenly get serious and then have to deal with the fallout of people misinterpreting it.

Had I had the choice I would have been among the first posters. As noted in one of PS's posts, my previous Alt was ditched as it was not working. And no, I would not have wasted time with posts in the vein of those that dominated the early game.

I'm suspicious of Kas's vote on Barghast. There is absolutely nothing to this apart from "let's vote off a high poster". This kind of tactic always comes back to bite us in the arse a couple of days down the line when nobody's posting and the scum start cruising. Also with the "mine post hath content" craptalk, it feels like a smokescreen.

Kessobahn's comments about the number of scum would be incredibly foolish to make if he were scum, because he would know he would get called out on it. So I'm not feeling that one.

I'm not entirely sure what the case on Galain is, but he didn't like it very much. @Galain, what is it about Alkend's underlined comments that actually pissed you off? Because you laid a vote with virtually no reasoning offered.

I'm on for half an hour or so, so will vote before I go.

- Edited for sentence make sense.
