OK, let me speak out some suspicions.

Fener is indeed recruited, or maybe has been a watch member from the start.
He is aiming to be targeted. Why, I don't know.

this reveal is once more a ploy to get targeted even more... which means that he may be immune to actions, or aims to get healed, or maybe even has an ability that triggers on being targeted?
He had to know that by getting lynched, he'd attract night actions once he survived, and in my humble opinion, he was willing to take the gamble that the Inquisition would allow no-one to be lynched. Moreover, he did little to avoid being lynched, he rather inflamed stuff. Imho, he has been playing like a revealed scum in death throes on day 1.

Finally, as he says, if he does get lynched and the Inquisition allows the lynch through, his faction is suddenly the underdog and the Inquisition may decide that they'll block lynches from his faction to preserve 'balance'.

Imho, getting lynched to try and secure immunity from lynch for your faction is a fucking great gamble, and it seems to me that no recruiter would pull that stunt. So, either he's a recruit who wants to self-sacrifice himself as he says, or he aims to be ignored by all of us because he plays like a headless chicken.

The problem is, either way, he gets his way, and he can go about and fake symp until he sees blue in the face and we will take clues from it, too.

Yes, and that's a convincing reason? Not in my book. The guy's credibility is already shot, now he asks again for a lynch? Never mind the fact he's spouted no less than three accusations with no elaboration whatsoever, despite numerous requests to do so? No, there's something else going on here. 'Vote for me because I'm a recruit' is not a good reason, all things considered.

I dont think you were recruited...it makes no sense for you to reveal that you were.
I dont see how you could think that by revealing you've been recruited, helps your new team in any way.
