Portal 2 I'm making a note here...

Anyone who's been keeping taps on gaming news over the past week will have heard about the mysterious new updates to Portal, a new ending, strange codes in the radios when they come in contact with the force fields, etc. Morse codes and weird old school modem signals that translate into strange gibberish and partial images of GlaDOS.

Well, today, finally, Portal 2 was announced.

The link, in the link, doesn't really seem to lead anywhere, but if you pay attention, you'll see that there's a bunch of letters that are underscored. They spell out "drattmannh0nee", which seems to be a username and code: Dr Attman and H0nee.

I never did finish the first one. I don't like puzzles. But I did like the concept behind the game and enjoyed the portal gun.

Pretty cool for Valve to play with their customers in such a geeky and old school way.

Have you seen the modified ending to Portal? REALLY looking forward to 2.

Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

I love some of the crazy theories people are coming up with now.

Like Portal 2 being mixed with Half Life 2: Episode 3.

That Chell will be assimilated and become the new mind of the GlaDOS programme.

That Freeman will have to fight Chell in some upcomming episode, etc.

The longer I have to wait for this, the more beautiful it'll be and the better a computer I'll have to play it on, so I don't mind delays with reason. BUT OH GOD I DO SO WANT IT PLEEEEAAAASSSEEEE

Thank god! By then I'd (hopefully) be done with my thesis and I can play with a clean conscience. Which wont be the case for Deus Ex 3 and the X-COM remake.

And the "game" that inspired these game elements in Portal 2. Apparently the developers were hired by Valve and brought on the Portal team (I'm assuming they are now rich).

Yeah. I am probably never going to play the co-op stuff, unless some one here twisted my arm, but it looks really good.

It reminds me of "Lost Vikings" gameplay. Only crazier.
