Haha, sweet.
I can never get over my love of Morrowind...I find that every few months or so I'm back to playing it. All of the player mods really help add some spice to things as well, although it becomes a real pain in the ass when they start conflicting or textures go missing and you have sort through hundreds/thousands of files.
I'm sure you've tried Tamriel rebuilt? That mod is amazing, I can't wait until they actually complete the entire mainland (not for a few more years, but oh well, I'll still be playing Morrowind). They've got the first map, completed with quests and everything, out now, and the second one out without quests. If you don't know what it is, they're basically making the entire Morrowind mainland that surrounds Vvardenfell.
That's a mod for Oblivion isn't it? No, I've not tried it, I'm not a fan of the simplified guild and skill system in Oblivion, and it just doesn't run well on my laptop.
The only essential mod for Morrowind is the graphics extender mod, which makes it look more than pretty enough.

And yes, Morrowind continues to be a stellar game, kept afloat after so long by user made modifications. Ah, good times. Tamriel Rebuilt I'm saving until it's all done. Want the whole experience together. XD
I was surprised it hadn't been purchased already, I also got my grubby mitts on redoran.com and hlaalu.com, unfortunately telvaani.com was already gone

Morrowind is just one of those games you can always drop in and lose a week to. Even if you've been playing it for years.

Depends on the game, crap games with good mod support never get too far.

It'd be interesting to see if ID's new game, Rage will get bad sales because of it's lack of mod support.
There's an indie game being made which will ship with a good game engine, I know that I've purchased it purely for the engine and modding, so I imagine I'm not the only one.
