With Rake's apparent 'death' it seems the role of Knight in HHD is open, who do think fills it, or do you think it stays empty for the remainder of the series. Ii think that its setting up to be Yedan Derryg, if anyone.

It's gonna be Nimander, who's going to use his place as Knight to chaperone the Tiste Andii prom.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Nimander or Draconus I think.

Yedden Derygg is probably going to sacrifice himself in some tragic last stand in book 10.

or... no one. Each and every position does not need to be filled all the time. Considering the general inactivity of House Dark in most things, it wouldn't at all surprise me if the position remained empty for a while until some aspiring young lad makes a name for himself 100 years from now.

I kinda love it when D'rek unleashes her nerd wrath, as I knew she would here. Sorry innocent bystanders, but someone's gotta be the kindling.

I think that it will be Nimander seeing as it was pasted to the some of trull it seems to make sense that if there is a worthy son that it would be passed to him

and did draconus leave/get thrown out the house of dark or was it rake killing him that lead him parting ways with mother dark?

well, be forewarned, this is a spoiler for RotCG if you haven't read it.

but in the prologue, draconus meets a child of the earth who has just had a chat with liossercal (osserc). draconus is at this point just carrying around a dark void to stuff people into and already he says that he is no longer the consort of dark and his suzerainty of night has been denied. so even before rake dragnipurs him, he's out of MD's favour.

orfantal. Just kidding.
I have seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter at the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in the rain...."

bit hard to part mother dark's ways when you're trapped inside a sword, bro. still, i wouldn't be surprised if he got thrown out. all these grand entrances, general badassitude, he's got to be compensating for something. maybe he's the...Darkness That Came Before? heh. hehe. hehehehehe.
