The whole plotline dealing with Burn is probably what I remember least from MoI. I just got a friend into the series, so I want to refresh my memory on this.
What would happen if Burn woke up? She was obviously awake over a thousand years ago, so what's the difference between her being awake and sleeping?
Did she start sleeping when TCG was chained to her flesh? If not, why did she start sleeping?
Was it ever said why Burn dreams? (pretty sure there was some lengthy explanation of this)
Can't remember if the poisoning of Burn was related to the poisoning of the warrens - remind me exactly how TCG poisoned the warrens?
Thanks to anyone who answers.

The crippled god was chained in the aftermath of his crash to earth.
He's been chained to the earth for some 100.000-130.000 years (can't remember the date from MoI's prologue)
The Crippled God is an alien creature and his mere presence, but more likely the power of his suffering, is like a poison.
Over time this poison has weakened Burn and a thousand years ago she became so sick that she fell into a coma like sleep.
The only thing that will wake her now (more or less) is the hammer than Brood wields. Burn chose to give this hammer to Brood so that he might continue to search for a solution different than the two options named in MoI. Burn dying and Krulls magic system being destroyed. Or Burn waking and purging the poison.
It's not known what happens if Burn wakes but civilization and life on Wu as we know it will end. Think the equivalent of every fault line and volcano going nuts at the same time. Heaven and Earth will litterally move.

Alright, thanks a lot.
A follow up question, I'll spoiler it because I'm not sure if it's in MoI:

There is also an unconfirmed but running theory that if Burn were able to wake up peacefully (which she can't do while poisoned) there would not necessarily be the catastrophic civilization-toppling horror of waking her up violently by the hammer.
