This is not a Tale of Bauchelain & Korbal Broach rather a treatise on the relationship between artist and audience

Finished it today and it was lovely. Every time one of the stories got cut off part-way through I wanted to scream!

(Also nice that it is finally out in a much more affordable version than the 20-pound version Pat was complaining about up-thread 2 years ago)

I kinda love it when D'rek unleashes her nerd wrath, as I knew she would here. Sorry innocent bystanders, but someone's gotta be the kindling.

Yah, I felt the same way. Mostly because I wouldn't put it past SE to have killed some characters, leaving some of the stories tragically unfinished, as a prank on the reader. It was a huge relief to actually get them all.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Loved this book.

The first 20 pages with the character introductions were pretty dense and tough to get through, but I felt the book was on-par with all of the other novellas in funnyness.

If you're a fan of Erikson, I don't get how you couldn't like this book? Thought-provoking philosophy, hilarity, action, sex, mystery all wrapped together!

Just finished this book. I've enjoyed the dark mix of comedy and absurdity in past B&KB novellas, but this was on an entirely different tier. I fucking loved this book. If Toll the Hounds is a cipher to the Book of the Fallen series, this is a cipher to how Erikson views the creative process overall.

I really hope we get to see more of Avas Didion Flicker in the future.
uhm, that should be 'stuff.' My stiff is never nihilistic.
