Disclosure: I'm not an artist (gods forbid), and what this is about is maybe inspiring someone to perhaps make a painting of this guy... with a hint.

Allrighty, so having read through RotCG, every time Ryllandaras came up I couldn't stop thinking back to ol' Diablo 2 and it's Druid class Werewolf shapeshift...

Ha, that's what I've been looking for - a reference for Ryllandaras I can use, because I've been having a hell of a time imagining what he looks like :p

@Gothos: WOW! I Like this werewolf mesh alot however theres a niggling problem, isn't Ryl a jackal or something? I just don't know jackals well enough but I think there should be some physical and characteristical differences...

maybe you could hint at what you all think those would be?

generally speaking a jackal would be of a more slender build, but with a very hybrid type of creature like Ryllandaras, sky is the limit, really. Also, for coloration, he's the White Jackal, so the colors might be relatively close to the desired.

Honestly I'd pack some more muscle on that model. Might give RotCG a scan-read tomorrow to scrounge up all the clues.

BTW DK do we have any jackals in SA? (I've spotted some in Zim and Zambia but haven't seen any here in South Africa.

I think they are mainly nocturnal...perhaps that's why you never seen them?
Ya they are found in the Vrystaat, KZN and Karoo.
Farmers hunt them as they are considered pests.
Apparently the Karoo Black backed Jackal is so much more difficult to hunt as they are much more intelligent.
Saw a Documentary on it recently.

Anyways i dont think there is such a thing as a white jackal for you to reference so the best bet would be normal jackal without any colour ;) :)

Or just with a polar wolf color theme. Or at least a bleached out timber wolf.

Braven Tooth was there to cover Temp. He wielded a great two-handed blade with which he deflected

looking at the "black lips" part, it might be Ryllandaras sports something of a goth look! or worse, black metal face painting :p
He is named the White Jackal, but in the fragments his fur is grey... though wether it's uniformly grey or has regional differences is not stated.

also, np. If you want to reward me in any way, make a kick ass painting. in widescreen size if possible too so I can put it on my wallpaper! :)

Just a thought, but maybe look at some art based on the Egyptian god Anubis, since he was Jackal-headed?

Whoa, is Ryllandaras really supposed to be that huge? That...explains a few things, though now I'm wondering how they managed to stop him with as few casualties as they did. I think the phrase "Man-Jackal" was throwing me off. "Maw the size of a horse's head" certainly implies that he's huge. Must've missed that.
