I've been waiting for a really good western game to come out since "Gun." I was pretty dissapointed with Call of Jarez, so I hope RDR is worth the hype. Since GTA devolopers are making it, I would think it would be good.

hearing bad things about the development of this game. cant link from work but if you look on joystiq the san diego division of rockstar is being disbanded or run into the ground and this game is suffering as a result. Hopefully its still awesome, but theres some big uestionmarks being raised on a lot of gaming sites about if it may even be canned.

Man, I really hope this game doesn't go down the toilet or get delayed/cancelled. It looks like a pretty well-realised game so far, I'm not sure what those Rockstar employees are talking about.

It's my impression that it's pretty far in its development. It was scheduled for a release in the spring last I heard. That far in production I can't see it being canned, postponed perhaps, but surely not scrapped.

Dear gawd please let this game be made!

Its the pinnacle of what i could ask for in a game. A real rpg and a western.

Postpone it if you have to, but no cancellation!!!

I don't think you should expect that much roleplay in the game. It looks like they basically mixed Grand Theft Auto with Oblivion and set it in the old west. You're playing a preset character with a preset storyline. You merely have a choice of being an asshole or a hero.

This being Rockstar, I expect more GTA than Oblivion.

I'm very much in doubt - I would love to play a good western game, but since I hate GTA with a passion, and seeing the mining car/ rollercoaster bit in the trailer, which already made me go 'fuck no', I doubt this will be a game for me as I'll just end up screaming at my screen. :D Also, what is with the walk the guy has... that is not a rocking motion or bowlegs... it rather screams he was being buggered up the ass the night before.

You try riding 10 hours a day, see how your legs hold out.

Also, his walk looks awesome.

Am I the only one who doesn't really care about the health of the developers and just want the game dead or alive? :D

I've seen the game - and there's one crippling flaw.

There is a very, very noticeable controller lag. Sometimes as much as 1/2 a second. Otherwise the game looks cool - the Wii hardware just can't do it.

Who's getting it on Wii? Seriously.

This game is on top of my list for the next few months.

I wonder how they got it, since it's not out yet.
