Thread necro!

Was flipping through NoK earlier looking up some scenes with Edgewalker, and came across this:

Tell him Kellanved plans to lose all in order to gain everything. I can foresee now that his victory will be sealed by his defeat.

Coupled with both of Cotillion's 'we have done this before' comments, could be they are doing something similar to what they did the night of the Shadow Moon when they ascended. Maybe getting ousted from Shadow (so it can heal) and, I dunno where they would go from there really, but it must be pretty huge. I'm still struggling to reconcile the new warrens' role in all this, and how K'rul is this war's 'prize'.

Argh, the suspense is maddening. This book can't get here fast enough.

Which would also go with the...

Quote

“Even should you succeed, Cotillion. Beyond all expectation, beyond, even, all desire. They will still speak of your failure.”

Interesting...

That second quote from the excerpt, the one about failure, also smacks of Tavore in the early portion of DoD, which is interesting since Lostara Yil, QB and a few others speculate that the Bonehunters are playing to Shadowthrone's plans unintentionally. Tavore has a lot to say about "not caring how history judges them" and Lostara Yil, after piecing together part of the plan, has that bit about how she thinks its "more a desperate hope than a declaration." Or something along those lines.

How do you rape a cave? Do you ask, "You want to fuck, yes?" hear the echo come back, "Yes... es... es..." and get your barnacle-gouged groove on?
