If you like AC1 you are going to cream your pants over AC2, it's that much of an improvement. Brotherhood is even better, I'd say, I've just finished playing that one. Surprising the amount of content they managed to pack into a year's worth of development. Apparently they're doing the same thing for AC3...

Yeah, I just started up AC2 and the improvements to the detail, the introduction alone, is mesmerizing. The game was good before. Now it is just awesome.

I'm considering picking up Dawn of War 2 for the holidays.
question: does Chaos Rising come with the original campaign as well, as I seem to recall?
given i'm not a multiplayer type of person, I just want as much SP as possible.

DoW2 Gold was just on sale during the pre christmas Steam sale. If you can wait another 2 weeks, it almost certain that it will come on sale again.

iirc, CR is not stand-alone?
Like Apt says, it will most certainly come to sale again. Since Retribution releases in march, you can expect a gold edition soon.

I know that CR is standalone. says so on the box. I saw in a store a week ago, and wanted to pick it up, but the idiot clerk couldn't tell me the gfx requirements, so i had to go home and check.
I can't recall if you get both campaigns with CR or not, tho.
also, I'd prefer to buy a hard copy with cash. Not that I particularly care, but my parents get my visa bills and they'll annoy me slightly for purchasing games when I should be studying.

was wondering round stores during boxing day today.
grabbed Dark Messiah of Migh and Magic and Supreme Commander 2 for 10$ each.
also, finally picked up a decent mouse to replace my crappy, broken-wheel one.
Now I can finally get my RTS gaming on again,

In case you're still wondering, Ment, my...copy...of CR did indeed contain the original DoW2 campaign.
And I've heard bad, baaaad things about Dark Messiah. But for $10 it probably won't matter, hehe...

yeah, I only grabbed it cuz it was the only decent and cheap thing in the PC section, and b/c I hear that it had some interesting ideas over at the Deus Ex 3 forum.
I've also joined the cult that is Steam, . now, if only this goddamn game wil finish the 4 gig update....

Haha, three day weekends sound great! I should really get around to organizing next year's schedule...meh.
And I do recall Dark Messiah having one or two redeeming features, which I thought Bethesda could borrow a bit off for the next Elder Scrolls, hehe.

I bought Darksiders.
Only been able to play for about an hour, but I'm impressed. And the game supposedly only gets really started about an hour in. Sweet. A war between Heaven and Hell, post-destruction human world, and you're a rider of the apocalypse whacking everyone involved? Hell yes.

I purchased portal on steam yesterday finally!! After all the hype for portal2 I got curious and wow was I impressed!! Such a fun, well designed game! The credit song is still running on repeat in my head!

I just bought Shogun 2 on Steam. Let's take a look.

I just ordered Batman arkham asylum and Dragon Age Origins for the 360 from amazon. Yes I know I am a little behind the rest of you guys but I don't game a ton.
