I'm done arguing with you Gem.
You refuse to look at what people say, then reply with 'What about my position do you not understand?' Perhaps the fact that your entire position is 'everything should be free for me! people will pay for stuff they like! But also, commercial copyrights should be protected!' It makes no sense, nor could it ever.
Lisheo - so the man uses his money to protect himself, and his company. I have no truck with that. The fact that YOU view his products as 'sub-standard' (despite being the standard) is a personal opinion, and you seem to be coloring your view on some of his stances with the fact that you do not like him.
Grief - when does it become a public document in the EU? Will it be before it is voted on, or afterwords? Since laws must be made public (at least in the US), I am quite sure that any 'agreement' will need to be voted on by the house/senate and then approved by the president, while being completely public. Are you telling me that somehow you will never know what any lawmaking to potentially come from this is until after it is law?
Enjoy this: I don't agree with all he says, but it seems less extremist than Gem's posting:

You mean discussing? Because you're right that you have only been arguing, not discussing. Good riddance then, that you would stop.

Obdi, I don't really know how you can make out what I said to that sentence. I certainly don't expect that everything should be free for me - I am a completely normal person, and not some kind of fascist thief, which you make it sound like I am. As for people paying - people are paying for stuff, loads of monies, you can check out the industries own numbers if you like - even though they whine alot. The thing is, you say I don't have any proof about my positions, but neither do you, the other side. There are precious little studies made so far, and the few that have been made indicate that my position is more correct than yours. I.e. people spend more monies when they are exposed to more culture, not the other way around. But of course more studies need to be made, and objective studies. It's completely new territory. I keep asking what it is you don't understand because you just rephrase what I am saying into something that I am not saying, and then basically asking if you are right, and aren't I terribly wrong, or some such. It's like you are taking it personally.
