Greetings forumites,

Certain authors who have a following here on the Malazan Books forum may be given their own subforums in the 'OTHER FANTASY' section.

I'm not going to even attempt to navigate around the logistics of the Wheel of Time series, its late original author Robert Jordan and its current author Brandon Sanderson, but here is a forum for discussion of WoT and anything else by BOTH of those authors that you wish to post about ( and as an aside, we can consider reorganizing this down the road if needed - nothing is set in stone).

Please be clear in your topic titles about what SPOILERS are included and use blocks where appropriate.

By example, if you wanted to discuss LORD OF CHAOS, the topic should read something like:

Just finished LORD OF CHAOS!!!!
SPOILERS FOR LoC AND PREVIOUS BOOKS

If it's less obvious, or spoilers just sort of happen in your post (it's okay, we understand, these things happen...) please mark spoilers clearly and use the block function (click on the 'Other styles' dropdown and select 'spoilers').

I like to do something like this...

Of course, the big finale in Knife Mist of the Chaos Lord sets the stage for
SPOILERS SPOILERS
HOLY FUCK SPOILERS FOR NEXT WoT BOOK
I SAW THIS ON THE INTERNET SOMEWHERE AND SPOILERS
Spoiler

Who saw THAT coming? Also, ew.

- Abyss, well wheeled.

Does this mean that the Yearded One also gets a sub-forum? *Stomps foot*, *tugs yeard*

Perhaps a little more indication that this is also the designated Sanderson area as well would help. It's kind of buried in the middle of that, Abyss.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....
