It completely makes sense from a strategy point of view that you would keep guarding the same person, but that doesn't mean I have to like it

Yeah, though oddly enough it may have been the fact your leader was killed off early that meant you were left alone for so long. It will be interesting to read the spoilers to see how many picked you out as Okaros's recruit, among other things.

@Telas, that may have been the turning point, but I think I played a pretty damn good game.

The funny thing is that the game started with 14 and 6 people will end up being on the winning faction. That's cult for ya =O

I'm curious to see spoilers, but for sure, it seems that a lot of luck was key to getting anywhere. For example, I was annoyed I got picked up night 2, and went to kill Ruse... who luckily had got a guard in night 2 b/c I would have won the matchup if he were still rank 1... and Ruse later helped us claim a victory.

Lots of crazy stuff like that aided in the outcome, but I think even if I lost, I'd feel pretty good about how I did overall.

For what it's worth, I was very confident by Day 4 that Omtose and/or Ruse were on Shao's team. Turned out to be right on Omtose at that point, and Ruse in the end, heh.

Luck was definitely a huge factor. Day one recruits were based entirely on luck. Had I picked an offensive warlord to recruit rather than another tactical one, Ruse's guard would have failed and the factions would have been different for the rest of the game. The same could be said of numerous people's day one actions.

Well, you got lucky meanas that I went with Your leader, i thought he had 3 recruits, I could easily have chosen Telas. But honestly, with the amount of posting , i didn't want him to win.
